Accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old Chicago girl, the Rev. Sleeva Raju Policetti fled Illinois nearly a decade ago to his native India, where the Roman Catholic archbishop of Hyderabad soon issued an order barring him from ministry.

In 2008, after a canonical trial, the Vatican took the rare and severe step of defrocking Policetti over the allegations, meaning he is no longer a priest.

But civil justice never caught up to the fugitive ex-priest, whose lawyers in India have fought efforts to extradite him to Chicago to face 20 felony counts of criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

And now it’s apparently too late.

In recent days, Policetti’s case took a dramatic turn when an attorney for Policetti’s alleged victim indicated to Cook County prosecutors that she was no longer willing to pursue charges — a decision that would effectively force prosecutors to dismiss the case and abandon the years-long extradition effort.

Prosecutors are now trying to set up a face-to-face meeting with the alleged victim, said Sally Daly, spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. “Proving up this case would very much involve us having the victim willing to participate in the prosecution,” Daly said. “Obviously, things have changed; she’s an adult now. We respect the wishes of the victim, same as you. At the end of the day, that’s what matters most.”

The potential end to Policetti’s prosecution offers yet another example of how an opaque and slow-moving international extradition system can derail justice, leaving suspects accused of murder, rape and crimes against children free when they find haven in foreign countries.

Policetti’s alleged victim initially worked with authorities, setting in motion an international extradition that required the approval of top officials from the U.S. State and Justice departments and India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

But years into the grinding legal process, her attorney said, she wants to put the matter behind her. Her contact with the state’s attorney came after the woman and her attorney learned the Tribune was preparing an article about Policetti.

Similar years-long delays have undermined other international fugitive manhunts, the Tribune found in an examination of more than 100 cases from the Chicago area and thousands of others nationwide. In some instances, witnesses died or disappeared, making the cases impossible to prosecute.

Policetti is one of at least 32 Roman Catholic priests nationwide since 1985 who have absconded to foreign countries while facing criminal charges or investigations for allegedly sexually assaulting or abusing youths in the United States, according to a Tribune review of federal warrants, news reports and law enforcement sources. Only five have been returned to the U.S. to face trial.

More than two dozen other Catholic clergy went abroad while facing internal church inquiries or civil allegations of child sex misconduct, or were transferred to foreign countries by church authorities, the Tribune found.

Confidential ecclesiastic records on Policetti’s case, which broke in 2002, provide a rare glimpse into the actions of top officials of the Catholic Church regarding an accused priest just as the Vatican was becoming engulfed in a burgeoning scandal over pedophile priests around the world.

Though reporters found that an initial two-day delay by the church in reporting the child sex assault allegation may have given Policetti time to plan his escape from Chicago, records also show that top church officials here and in India pressed hard for Policetti’s return and expressed fury at his alleged crimes and his continued ability to evade justice.

Told of the recent developments in the case, Chicago Archdiocese legal services director John O’Malley said, “From the outset, the archdiocese has supported and cooperated with the state’s efforts to bring this case to a just resolution. The archdiocese and those of us involved in dealing with these tragic matters would never presume to make a judgment about the feelings of someone who has been sexually abused.”

The archdiocese reached an out-of-court settlement with Policetti’s alleged victim, a person with knowledge of the case confirmed. The church declined to disclose any details out of respect for the alleged victim’s privacy. The alleged victim declined to comment for this article.

Her attorney, who spoke on condition that he not be identified, said the Chicago Tribune account of the case was “inaccurate and irresponsible,” although he would not identify specific errors.

St. Tarcissus, the vibrant Northwest Side parish where Policetti had worked, saw a sharp drop in attendance and donations when the assault allegations first made news.

“The lives of a lot of parishioners were turned upside down,” said the retired Rev. Daniel McCarthy, who was pastor when Policetti fled. “People were hurt and disillusioned and betrayed.”

Prosecutors say Policetti was 42 and the girl had just turned 16 when the alleged assaults began. Policetti gave the girl jewelry and other gifts “to further his abusive sexual relationship with her,” according to a Cook County prosecutor’s court affidavit made public in New Delhi. The alleged victim “felt that she could not refuse the advances of Fr. Policetti because he was a priest.”

In the court records and a brief interview earlier this year in India, Policetti proclaimed his innocence and said he is the victim of a racist conspiracy.

“Because of the allegations and case against me, I lost my permanent job at the church in Hyderabad and get only temporary jobs, sometimes on weekends,” Policetti said from his lawyer’s chamber in the stately Patiala House Courts Complex in New Delhi.

Despite being barred from public ministry, then defrocked, Policetti has continued to use the title of “Reverend.” As recently as 2010, he sent Chicago parishioners greeting cards soliciting donations, saying he ran an orphanage and school near Hyderabad.

Priests sometimes call him to fill in at church functions, Policetti said in the interview.

“Gradually people have … forgotten the case, but the sense of frustration about what has happened with me has yet not left me,” Policetti said. “It is only God’s blessings and the strength my family and lawyers have given that have kept me going.”

Like many other international fugitives traced by the Tribune, priests accused of sexual misconduct often returned to their hometowns and did little to conceal their identities or whereabouts, the newspaper found. Until the pedophile-priests scandal erupted a decade ago, many of them were given church housing and jobs after fleeing, and that still occurs in some cases.

Another priest who fled to his native India, the Rev. Joseph Jeyapaul, left the U.S. in 2005 just before he was charged in Minnesota with sexually assaulting 14-year-old Megan Peterson after she sought his advice about becoming a nun. Jeyapaul asserted his innocence and continued to work as a priest in India, where he was prohibited from direct contact with children.

Peterson, who is now 22, told the Tribune that authorities have advised her that Jeyapaul’s extradition from India “could probably take 10 years, or maybe it won’t even happen.”

It has been difficult to carry on with her life with the case unresolved, Peterson added, but she is determined to bring Jeyapaul to trial because she fears he could abuse others.

“To see a predator still on the loose, to have used every resource you’ve got to get him back and to know they’re just untouchable — that feeling is gut-wrenching,” Peterson said.

A stocky and energetic associate pastor known at St. Tarcissus for his thundering homilies and attention to the sick, “Father Raju” Policetti came to Chicago in 1996 as an “extern” priest who would serve in America but remain accountable to church authorities in his home diocese in Hyderabad.

During the time of the alleged abuse, which started in 2001, a church secretary noticed Policetti with the girl in his private rectory bedroom “on numerous occasions with the door closed,” according to a Chicago police detective’s affidavit. The secretary “counseled Sleeva that this was considered inappropriate behavior, but he dismissed her warning,” the detective wrote.

During this period, Policetti applied to remain in Chicago as a priest of the Chicago diocese. Chicago rejected his application early in 2002 because he had come under church investigation for allegedly improperly raising donations to support an orphanage and school in India, church records and interviews show. Church authorities questioned where the money was going.

On a Saturday morning in May 2002, two months before Policetti’s scheduled July 14 departure, a parish member brought then-pastor McCarthy letters exchanged between Policetti’s alleged victim and another girl that disclosed the priest’s alleged misconduct, according to court records and interviews.

A stunned McCarthy immediately conveyed the letters to the Rev. Larry McBrady, then the Chicago vicar for priests. At some point over the weekend, McBrady spoke with Kathleen Leggdas, who headed the archdiocese office that investigated abuse allegations against priests.

Church officials say they kept their communications completely private. “I didn’t want to scare him off,” McCarthy recalled.

Archdiocese policy required prompt reporting of child abuse allegations to the state Department of Children and Family Services hotline. Records show Leggdas’ call came around noon Monday, May 6, just over two days after the letters surfaced.

During that 50-hour window, Policetti sold his car for $3,500, telling the buyer “he was ill and had to return to India,” according to a Chicago police detective’s court affidavit.

Policetti caught a flight out of the U.S. on Tuesday, about two hours before police scrambled to O’Hare International Airport to catch him. Church authorities would not comment directly on the delay.

Police quickly contacted Policetti’s brother, the Rev. Prasad Rao Policetti, who was then posted at nearby St. Monica Parish. But Prasad was “deceitful and evasive,” telling police that his brother flew to Amsterdam even though he knew Sleeva Policetti was headed to India, the detective’s court affidavit states.

Prasad Policetti would not answer police questions about the brothers’ various bank accounts. And he phoned a St. Tarcissus secretary and urged her to persuade the alleged victim to “change her story” and say she and Sleeva Policetti were “just kissing,” according to the affidavit.

The Tribune’s efforts to locate Prasad Policetti, who left Chicago for Hyderabad four days after his brother, were unsuccessful.

After Sleeva Policetti arrived in India, he called the Chicago detective and admitted “kissing and touching” the “young girl” but denied sexual relations, according to court records.

Sleeva Policetti said “he was uncertain about when he would return to Chicago,” Detective Richard Lapinski wrote in a court affidavit. “He stated he could be contacted at the Bishop’s House in Hyderabad and provided a phone number.”

Cardinal Francis George had immediately alerted then-Hyderabad Archbishop Marampudi Joji about the allegations against Policetti. “Father Policetti must meet with the police,” the cardinal wrote in a faxed letter. “Given the grave nature of this criminal allegation, I ask that … you direct him to return to Chicago immediately.”

When Policetti arrived in Hyderabad at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 9, he went straight to Joji’s house and strenuously maintained his innocence, church records show.

Four days later, George faxed Joji another letter warning him that Policetti had raised “considerable sums of money” by telling parishioners “he was opening a school in Hyderabad. He may suddenly disappear again and use such monies, including $30,000 in a Bank of South India account, for his personal support.”

Joji faxed George an “urgent” reply saying he had persuaded Policetti to return to Chicago. Policetti wrote separately to assure George he was heading back to Chicago “at the earliest” to “tell you my version of what had happened.”

More than a week passed. When Joji finally summoned Policetti, his brother Prasad appeared instead and told Joji “definitively” that Sleeva Policetti “will not be returning to Chicago,” church records show.

Joji then took the most drastic step in his power. He notified Sleeva Policetti in a letter that he was barred “from officiating or participating in public or private as a priest,” citing his “deceptive claims of innocence.”

Yet roughly a year later, Policetti wrote to a St. Tarcissus parishioner and encouraged her to support a child she had sponsored through him at an orphanage. As he would do in extradition court filings and fundraising appeals over the following years, Policetti described himself as a priest in good standing: “Regarding my ministry, I will be posted soon in the parish … as a pastor,” he wrote.

Chicago archdiocese officials sent a copy of that fundraising appeal to Joji, asking in alarm whether Policetti was indeed about to be posted as a pastor.

A month later, in May 2003, India police arrested Policetti outside Hyderabad.

As India began the process of extraditing him to the U.S. to face trial, Policetti was held in judicial custody for about two weeks, then released on bail, court records show. He has been free since then.

இவருக்கு 11 வயதில் மகன் உள்ளார்.இருவரும் சுற்றுலா சென்றபோது, பொள்ளாச்சியில் சந்தித்துள்ளனர். இருவரும் விவாகரத்து பெற்றுள்ளதால் திருமணம் செய்து இணைந்து வாழ முடிவு செய்தனர். 2011ம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் நாகப்பட்டினத்தில் தான் வேலை செய்யும் தமது கல்லூரிலே வேலை வாங்கி தருவாக கூறி ஏஞ்சலின் ஜெசினாவை காரைக்காலுக்கு அழைத்து வந்து தனது வீட்டிலே தங்க வைத்துள்ளார். கடந்த 2 அரை மாதங்களாக இருவரும் கணவன் மனைவியாக வாழ்ந்து வந்துள்ளனர்.

சாலமன் தேவதாசின் மெயில், போனில் பல பெண்களுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்வது குறித்து ஏஞ்சலின் கேட்டபோது, இருவருக்கும் தகராறு நடந்துள்ளது. இதனிடையே ஏஞ்சலினிடம் இருந்து 25 ஆயிரம் பணம் வாங்கியுள்ளார். மேலும், தான் வாங்கவுள்ள புதிய காருக்கு 2 லட்சம் பணம் கேட்போது சாலமனுக்கும், ஏஞ்சலினுக்கும் மேலும் தகராறு வலுத்தது. இருவரும் மாறி மாறி மகளிர் போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் புகார் அளித்தனர்.
போலீசார் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தி இருவரையும் சாமாதானப்படுத்தினர். அப்போது, சாலமன், ஏஞ்சலினுக்கு விவகாரத்து கிடைத்தால் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதாகவும் எழுதி கொடுத்துள்ளார். இந்நிலையில் கடந்த 18ம் தேதி ஏஞ்சலின் தந்தையை நாகப்பட்டினம் பஸ் நிலையத்திற்கு வழியனுப்பி விட்டு திரும்பும் போது, காரில் இருந்து இறங்கிய சாலமன் மாயமானர். பல இடங்களில் தேடியும் கிடைக்கவில்லை.

ஏஞ்சலின் மகளிர் போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில், சாலமன் தன்னை திருமணம் செய்வதாக ஆசை வார்த்தை கூறி ஏமாற்றி கற்பழித்துவிட்டதாக புகார் அளித்தார். அதன்பேரில் சப்இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் (பொறுப்பு) லோகநாதன் வழக்குப் பதிந்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகிறார். மேலும், ஏஞ்சலினுக்கு நேற்று காரைக்கால் அரசு மருத்துவமனையில் மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை செய்யப்பட்டது.

இந்நிலையில், கல்லூரி மாணவியிடம் தகாத முறையில் நடந்து கொண்ட பாதிரியாரை கைது செய்ய வேண்டும், அவரை மருத்துவ பரிசோதனைக்கு உட்படுத்த வேண்டும், திருச்சபையில் இருந்து நீக்கம் செய்ய வேண்டும் என, வலியுறுத்தி இந்து முன்னணியினர், முத்தியால்பேட்டை போலீஸ் ஸ்டேஷன் எதிரில் குவிந்தனர்.
தலைவர் சனில்குமார், பொதுச் செயலாளர் முருகையன் ஆகியோர் தலைமையில் இந்து முன்னணியினர் போலீஸ் ஸ்டேஷனை முற்றுகையிட்டனர். அவர்களை இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் அங்கப்பன், சப்-இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் கிருஷ்ணன் மற்றும் போலீசார் சமாதனப்படுத்தினர்.
தகவலறிந்த அனைந்திந்திய மாணவர் கூட்டமைப்பு, பெற்றோர் ஆசிரியர் கழகம், இந்திய மாணவர் சங்கம், மாதர் அமைப்புகளைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள், புனித பிரான்சிஸ் அசிசிஸ் தேவாலயம் அருகில் உள்ள பள்ளி முன் திரண்டனர். பாதிரியாரை கண்டித்து கோஷம் எழுப்பி ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டதால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது.
மிஷன் வீதியில் உள்ள பேராயர் இல்லம் முன், நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி, சட்டக் கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள், இந்திய ஜனநாயக வாலிபர் சங்க நிர்வாகிகள் மறியலில் ஈடுபட்டனர். அவர்களை போலீசார் கைது செய்து அப்புறப்படுத்தினர்.
சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக சீனியர் எஸ்.பி.,சந்திரன், எஸ்.பி., மோனிகா பரத்வாஜ் விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டனர். அப்போது பாதிரியார் மீதான குற்றத்தை கல்லூரி மாணவி மறுத்தார்.
இதுகுறித்து சீனியர் எஸ்.பி., சந்திரன் கூறுகையில், “தேவலாயத்தில் நள்ளிரவு 12 மணியளவில் தனிமையில் இருந்த பாதிரியார் மற்றும் இளம்பெண்ணிடம் விசாரணை நடத்தப்பட்டது. அப்பெண் புதுச்சேரியில் உள்ள தனியார் கல்லூரியில் எம்.சி. ஏ., படித்து வருகிறார். அந்தப் பெண்ணிற்கு பாதிரியார் தான் பாதுகாவலராக உள்ளார்.
ஹாஸ்டலில் கணிப்பொறி வசதி இல்லாததால் எம்.சி.ஏ., புராஜக்ட் விஷயமாக பிரிண்ட் எடுக்க சர்ச் பாதர் வீட்டிற்கு வந்துள்ளார். இருவரும் தவறு ஏதும் செய்யவில்லை என எங்கள் விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. இதுதொடர்பாக மாஜிஸ்திரேட் விசாரணைக்கு உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது” என்றார்.
குருசுகுப்பம் உள்ளிட்ட மீனவ கிராமங்களில் பதட்டம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதையடுத்து தேவலாயத்திற்கு பலத்த போலீஸ் பாதுகாப்பு போடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இரட்டிப்பு பணம் தருவதாக, மாநிலத்தில், 105 முகவர்களை நியமித்து, 12,500 பேரிடம், 13 கோடி ரூபாய்க்கு மேல் மோசடி செய்துள்ளதாக, திருவள்ளூர் அருகே கைதான பாதிரியார், போலீசில் பரபரப்பு வாக்குமூலம் கொடுத்துள்ளார்.

திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்டம், திருநின்றவூர் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்தவர் அந்தோணி,58. பாதிரியாரான இவர், அங்குள்ள இம்மானுவேல் சர்ச்சில் ஊழியம் செய்து வந்தார். இவர், பட்டாபிராம் பகுதியில், “ஹெவன்லி இன்டர்டினாமினல் மிஷன் டிரஸ்ட்’ என்ற அறக்கட்டளை பெயரில், 2010 ஜனவரியில் தொடங்கப்பட்ட சீட்டு கம்பெனியில், மாநில பொறுப்பாளராக இருந்து வந்தார்.

இவரால், கமிஷன் அடிப்படையில் நியமிக்கப்பட்ட முகவர்கள், 10,500 ரூபாய் செலுத்தினால், முதல் இரண்டு மாதங்கள், 2,700 ரூபாய் தருவதாகவும், 3வது மாதம் முதல், 10வது மாதம் வரை, இரட்டிப்பாக, 5,400 ரூபாய் தருவதாகவும் ஆசை வார்த்தை கூறி, மக்களிடம் பணம் வசூலித்தனர்.

ஆனால், கூறியபடி அவர்களுக்கு பணம் தரவில்லை. இதையடுத்து, செவ்வாப்பேட்டை போலீசில், பாதிக்கப்பட்ட, 75 பேர் புகார் கொடுத்தனர். தொடர்ந்து, வேப்பம்பட்டு பவானி நகர் வினோத்குமார்,44, அவரின் மனைவி எஸ்தர்,31, மாமியார் குளோரி,48, ஆகிய மூன்று முகவர்களை, போலீசார் கைது செய்து விசாரித்தனர்.

பாதிரியார் கைது : விசாரணையில், “மாநில அளவில் அறக்கட்டளையின் பொறுப்பாளரான திருநின்றவூர் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த பாதிரியார் அந்தோணி தான், எங்களை முகவர்களாக நியமித்தார்’ என கூறினர். இதையடுத்து, பாதிரியார் அந்தோணியை, நேற்று முன்தினம் செவ்வாப்பேட்டை போலீசார், திருவள்ளூர் பஸ் நிலையத்தில் கைது செய்தனர். பின், டி.எஸ்.பி., பாலச்சந்தர் முன்னிலையில், பாதிரியார் அந்தோணி வாக்குமூலம் அளித்தார்.

105 முகவர்கள் மூலம்… : வாக்குமூலத்தில், “நான், ஹெவன்லி இன்டர்டினாமினல் மிஷன் டிரஸ்ட் சீட்டு கம்பெனியின் மாநில பொறுப்பாளராக உள்ளேன். இதற்கு, உரிமையாளராக பட்டாபிராமைச் சேர்ந்த ஜான் பிரபாகர் உள்ளார்.

சீட்டுப்பணம் வசூலிக்க, பட்டாபிராம், ஆவடி, அம்பத்தூர், அயனம்பாக்கம், பேரம்பாக்கம், காஞ்சிபுரம் மற்றும் திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டங்களில், 105 முகவர்களை, கமிஷன் அடிப்படையில், கடந்த, 2010ம் ஆண்டு நியமித்துள்ளேன்’ என்றார்.

ஏமாந்தது 12,500 பேர் : மேலும், “அவர்கள் மாநிலம் முழுவதும், இதுவரை, 12,500 பேரை உறுப்பினர்களாக நியமித்து, பணம் வசூலித்துக் கொடுத்துள்ளனர். இவ்வாறு, 31 கோடி ரூபாய் பணம் வசூலிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதில், முறைப்படி உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு, 18 கோடி ரூபாய், செப்டம்பர் மாதம் வரை, மாதந்தோறும் தொடர்ந்து வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது’ என்றார்.

அறக்கட்டளையில் இருந்து பணம் வராததால் தான், கொடுக்க முடியவில்லை என்றும் கூறினார். “கடந்த, அக்டோபர் மாதம் முதல், ஐந்து மாதங்களாக, சீட்டு கம்பெனியின் உரிமையாளரான ஜான் பிரபாகரிடம் இருந்து, பணம் வரவில்லை. இதனால், மீதமுள்ள, 13 கோடி ரூபாய் பணத்தை, உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு கொடுக்க முடியவில்லை. அவர் பணம் கொடுத்தால் தான், நான் உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு பணம் தர முடியும்’ என, வாக்குமூலத்தில் தெரிவித்தார்.

ஆந்திராவில் கம்பி எண்ணும் உரிமையாளர் : இதுகுறித்து, திருவள்ளூர் டி.எஸ்.பி., பாலச்சந்தர் கூறும்போது, “”சென்னை புறநகர் பகுதியான பட்டாபிராமைச் சேர்ந்த முதல் குற்றவாளியான ஜான் பிரபாகர், ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள கிராமங்களில், இதேபோல் இரட்டிப்பு பணம் தருவதாக, 100 கோடி ரூபாய்க்கு மேல் மோசடி செய்துள்ளதும், அவர் மீது மங்காபுரம், காவாளி, நெல்லூர், பட்டர்குண்டா ஆகிய போலீஸ் நிலையங்களில், வழக்குகள் உள்ளதும் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது” என்றார்

மேலும், “”இவ்வழக்குகள் சம்பந்தமாக, ஆந்திர மாநில போலீசார், கடந்தாண்டு அக்டோபர் 15ம் தேதி, ஜான் பிரபாகரை கைது செய்து, கர்னூல் மாவட்டம், நந்திகோட்டூர் சிறையில் அடைத்துள்ளதும் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. இவரை, போலீஸ் காவலில் எடுத்து விசாரணை செய்ய உள்ளோம். அதன் பின் தான், பணம் இரட்டிப்பு மோசடியில் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் குறித்த முழுத் தகவல்கள் கிடைக்கும்” என்றார்.

Bangalore: The head master of premier school inBangalorehas been arrested for child abuse, this has happened on the account of complaint logged by the parents of the child.

This is the same school which was in the news for asking students to add their teach her on facebook.

Paul Meekin said, “We don’t want to intentionally interfere with their lives but the point is they are children and they tend to make mistakes and while we won’t be monitoring what they’re saying 24/7, we do want to keep track of what they are doing online.”

B Dayananda, Joint Commissioner,BangaloreEast, said, “Police complain have been registered against the principal. He was arrested and sent to judicial custody.”

In fact, in a written statement the school said. “The management will not tolerate any such issues even if it is a mere allegation and would not spare any effort to get to the bottom of the truth and to ensure to uphold the high standards maintained by the institution.”

Immediately the management convened an emergency meeting and decided to suspend him from his current responsibilities forthwith pending investigation not withstanding his past laurels. Thereafter, a police investigation was initiated and we have extended full cooperation to the police authorities,” it said.

மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப் Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos ஹோமோ செக்ஸில் பிடிப்பட்டார்.

மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப் பாவ செயலில் பிடிபட்டார் நரி பரலோகம் சென்றாலும் கோழி பிடிப்பதை நிறுத்துமா?

“பெண்ணோடு பாலுறவு பண்ணுகிறதுபோல, ஆணோடு பாலுறவு பண்ண வேண்டாம். அது அருவருப்பானது உன் தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காதே, நான் கர்த்தர்”. லேவி 18:21,22. Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப்மார்களில் ஒருவரான Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos அவர்கள் ஹோமோ செக்ஸில் (ஆணுடன்-ஆண்) ஈடுபடும்போது கையும் களவுமாக பிடிப்பட்டார். ஏராளமான சிறுவர், பெரிய ஆள் இப்படி பலருடன் பாவத்தொடர்பு கொள்வது ஆரம்பம் முதலே குருவானவராக சபையில் ஊழியம் செய்தபோதே இந்த பழக்கம் உண்டு என்று பலர் கூறுகிறார்கள். அதை பிஷப் பதவி வகித்த பின்னும் அவரால் விடமுடியவில்லை என்றும் கூறுகிறார்கள். மார்தோமா சபையை சார்ந்த அலுவலகத்தில் பணியாற்றும்Mr.Samkutty, வயது 38, கேரளாவிலுள்ள பத்தினம்திட்டா மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள Ranny என்ற ஊரைச் சேர்ந்தவர். மூணாறு என்ற மலைநகரிலுள்ள மார்தோமா Retreat Centreல் மேனேஜராக பணியாற்றியவர். இவர் இந்த பிஷப் பலமுறை கோட்டயத்திலுள்ள பிஷப்.Euyakim அவர்கள் தன் வீட்டிலும், ஆரன்முலா என்ற இடத்திலுள்ள Retreat Centre-லும் தன்னை பலமுறை அவரோடு ஆண் புணர்ச்சி பாவம் செய்ய தன்னை பிஷப் அவர்கள் உபயோகித்தார் என்றும் கூறியுள்ளார். தன் மேல்அதிகாரியான இந்த பிஷப்பின் டார்ச்சர் தாங்கமுடியாமல் இவரைப்பற்றி தலைமை பிஷப்பிடம் பலமுறை புகார் செய்தேன் என்றும் இவர் கூறியுள்ளார். இந்த பிஷப் தன்னை மட்டுமல்லாமல் வேறு பலரையும் தினசரி தன் பாவத்துக்காக அழைத்து உபயோகித்துக்கொண்டதை பலர் அறிந்துள்ளனர். அவர் பிஷப் பதவி வகிப்பதால் அவர்மீது மார்தோமா சபைகளின் தலைமை எந்த நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்கவில்லை என்றும் இவர் கூறியதாக அறியப்படுகிறது. ஒரு கட்டத்தில் பிஷப் அவர்களின் பாவகாரியத்துக்காக இட்ட கட்டளைக்கு தான் சம்மதிக்காததால் உண்டான கோபத்தினால் பிஷப் அவர்கள் என்னை வேலையைவிட்டும் நீக்கினார் என்றும் கூறுகிறார். 2009ம் வருடம்முதல் என்னை பாவக்காரியத்துக்கு உபயோகித்ததைக்குறித்து தலைமை பிஷப்புக்கு அறிவித்தும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்காததை அறிந்து, வேறு பல ஆண்கள் இந்த பாவத்தில் இவர் மூலமாக விழுந்துப்போவதை உணர்ந்துதான் நான் போலீஸில் புகார் செய்தேன் என்று கூறுகிறார். ஆனால் போலீஸ்; என் புகாரை எடுக்கதயங்கினார்கள். ஆகவே வேறு வழியில்லாமல் நான் நீதிமன்றம் சென்று முறையிட்டேன். மேலும் பலநபர்கள் போலீஸ்சில் இதேபோன்ற புகார் பிஷப்மீது கூறியதால் இப்போதுகேரளா நீதிமன்றமே தலையிட்டு விசாரணைநடத்தி அறிக்கை சமர்பிக்க போலீஸுக்கு கட்டளையிட்டது. இப்போது நீதிமன்றத்தில் விசாரணை நடைபெற்றுக்கொண்டிருகிறது. பாதிக்கப்பட்ட நபர்களின், சாட்சிகள் ஏராளமாக இருப்பதால் விசாரணை முடிய நீண்ட நாட்களானது. ஏறக்குறைய விசாரணை இப்போது முடியும் தருவாயில் இருக்கிறது. பிஷப்மேல் குற்றம் Cr Pc 377 (Engaging in Unnatural Sex) என்ற தலைப்பின்கீழ் FIR பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த குற்றச்சாட்டு நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டால் பிஷப் அவர்களுக்கு 10 ஆண்டு சிறைதண்டனை நிச்சயம். இந்த விஷயத்தில் பிஷப்மேல் குற்றம் சுமத்திய நபரான Mr.Samkutty பலமுறை இந்த பாவத்துக்கு இவரே உடந்தையாக இருந்திருக்கிறார் என்பதும் விளங்குகிறது. தன்னை வேலையைவிட்டு நீக்கிய பிறகுதான் இந்த பாவ குற்றச்சாட்டை பிஷப்மேல் இவர் அறிவித்திருக்கிறார். இப்போது இவர் செய்த பாவத்தை இவர் நியாயப்படுத்த முயலுகிறார் என்பது விளங்குகிறது. ஆகவே இவரும் தண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டியவரே! இப்போது பிஷப்Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos அவர்களை நீண்டநாள் விடுமுறையில் போகச்சொல்லி மார்தோமா சபை தலைமை கட்டளையிட்டுள்ளதாக அறியப்படுகிறது. Most Rt.Rev.Chrysostum Rt.Rev.Dr.Irenaeus மார்தோமா தலைமை தன்னை இந்த வழக்கிலிருந்து காப்பாற்றாமல் போனாலோ அல்லது தன்னை தண்டித்தாலோ மார்தோமா தலைமை பிஷப் Most Rt.Rev.Philipose Mar Chrysostom, Rt.Rev.Dr.Joseph Mar Irenaeus ஆகியவர்கள் கடந்த காலங்களில் செய்த பாவங்களையும், அந்த பாவங்களில் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்களையும் பகிரங்கப்படுத்துவேன் என்று பயமுறுத்துவதாக மார்தோமா சபை குருவானவர்கள் பேசிக்கொள்வதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. ஏற்கனவே Rt.Rev.Dr.ஐரேனியஸ்பிஷப் அவர்கள்மேல் சிறு பெண்பிள்ளைகளுடனும், குருமார்களின் மனைவியுடனும் பல இடங்களில் இவர் நடத்திய பாவ சம்பவங்களைக்குறித்து மார்தோமா சபை மக்கள் மூலமாக கேள்விப்பட்டதையும், மார்தோமா சபை முக்கிய தலைவர்கள் சிலரிடம் பிஷப்பால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்பங்கள் புகார் அறிவித்ததையும்,அதைக் குறித்த விவரங்களையும் நான் ஜாமக்காரனில் வெளியிட்டிருந்தேன். அதன் காரணமாக மார்தோமா சபைகளில் நான் பிரசங்கிக்கக்கூடாது என்று தலைமை அறிவித்து, என்மீது மானநஷ்ட வழக்கு தொடுக்க ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்தார்கள். அப்படி என்னை கோர்ட்டுக்கு அவர்கள் அழைத்தால் எனக்காக வக்கீல் யாரையும் நியமிக்காமல் நானே சாட்சிகளோடு சென்று வழக்கை சந்திப்பேன் என்று நான் அறிவித்தேன். மார்தோமா சபையில் பல விசுவாசிகள் குறிப்பாக(Gulf) அரேபியாவில் வேலை செய்யும் மார்தோமா சபை குடும்பங்கள், மார்தோமா சபை குருமார்களின் மனைவிமார்கள் எனக்கு உதவியாக சாட்சி சொல்ல தயார் என்று எனக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள். குறிப்பாக டிசம்பர்மாதங்களில் தங்களை அழைத்தால் சாட்சி சொல்ல இந்தியா வருவதாக தொலைப்பேசியில் என்னுடன் பேசி என்னை ஊக்கப்படுத்தினார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு நன்றி. மார்தோமா சபைகளில் டாக்டர்களின் ஐக்கியத்திலுள்ள சிலர் என் சார்பில் மார்தோமா சபை தலைமையிடம் வாதாடினார்கள் என்று கேள்விப்பட்டேன். அதனால் என்மேல் தொடுக்க இருந்த மானநஷ்ட வழக்கு கைவிடப்பட்டது என்பதையும் அறிந்தேன்.   மார்தோமா சபையிலுள்ள வாலிபர் பலர் சேர்ந்து பாவம் செய்த அந்த குறிப்பிட்ட பிஷப் பெயரில் அவரைப்பற்றி ஒரு துண்டுப்பிரதி அச்சடித்து கேரளாவில் கோழஞ்சேரி தலைமை சபையில் வெளியிட்டனர். அந்த துண்டுப்பிரதியின் தலைப்பு நரி பரலோகம் சென்றாலும் கோழி பிடிப்பதை நிறுத்துமா? என்பதாகும். இந்த துண்டுப்பிரதி மார்தோமா வாலிபர்களே தங்கள் பிஷப்புக்கு எதிராக வெளியிட்டதால் மார்தோமா சபைகளில் பெரிய தாக்கம் ஏற்பட்டது. அந்த துண்டுபிரதியை அப்படியே ஜாமக்காரனில் நானும் வெளியிட்டேன். பாவத்தில் பிடிக்கப்படும் எந்த பிஷப்மார்களுக்கும் தண்டனை கொடுத்ததாக மார்தோமா சபை சரித்திரத்தில் இல்லை. ஆகவே மார்தோமா சபையில், சில குருமார்களும், மார்தோமா சபையில் சில டாக்டர்களும், சபையிலுள்ள சில முக்கிய தலைவர்களும் என்னிடம் பேசி இந்த விவகாரத்தை ஜாமக்காரனில் மேலும் எழுதாமல் தயவுசெய்து இத்துடன் நிறுத்தி உதவுங்கள். பிஷப்மாரை சபை மண்டலம் (சினாட்) இதுவரை தண்டித்ததில்லை என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள். மார்தோமா சபையிலுள்ள என் வாசகர்களுக்காக, வாசகர்கள் தெரிவித்த செய்தியை அன்று ஜாமக்காரனில் வெளியிட்டேன். அறிவித்தேன் என் வேலை முடிந்தது. அதன்பின் இப்போது சோதோம் கொமாராவின் பாவத்தை செய்ததாக கூறப்படும் பிஷப் அவர்கள் சபையில் பலரை கெடுத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்ற புதிய பாவசெய்தியும், புதிய பிரச்சனையும் வேதனையுள்ள செய்தியாக கடந்த சில வருடங்களாகவே பலர் எனக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள். மார்தோமாசபை தலைமை இந்த பிஷப்புக்கு எதிராகவும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கவில்லை! சிறுவர்கள், ஆண்கள் பிஷப் அவர்களால் மேலும் கெட்டுவிடக்கூடாது என்ற எண்ணத்தில் இப்போது இதை அறிவித்தேன். பிஷப் அவர்களின் இந்த பாவப்பிரச்சனையை நீதிமன்றமேபொறுப்பெடுத்துக்கொண்டதால் இவைகளைக்குறித்து எனக்கு கிடைத்த தகவலை விவரித்து இப்போது நான் எழுதக்கூடாது! மேலும் சூர்யா டிவியில் கடந்த மாதம் பிஷப் அவர்களின் புகைப்படத்தோடு நான் மேலே எழுதிய பாவசெய்தியையும், பாவத்தையும் பலமுறை போட்டுக்காட்டினார்கள். இ-மெயில் மூலம் மார்தோமாசபை மக்களே பலருக்கு இந்த செய்தியை இப்போது அறிவித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆகவே நான் என் அபிப்ராயம் எதையும் கூற விரும்பவில்லை.   மார்தோமா பிஷப் Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilosயைப்பற்றி எனக்கு எழுதியவர்களில் மார்தோமா சபையின் Trustyயும் ஒருவர் ஆவார். அவர் மிக மனப்பாரத்துடன் பிஷப் அவர்களின் பாவத்தைக்குறித்து எனக்கு கடிதம் எழுதியிருந்தார். அதில் அவர் அந்த குறிப்பிட்ட பிஷப் அவர்களை மார்தோமா சபை தெரிந்தெடுக்கும்போது அவர் குடும்பத்தைப்பற்றிய பின்னணியைப்பற்றி சபையின் தலைமை சரியாக விசாரிக்கவில்லை என்றும், பிஷப் அவர்களின் குடும்பத்தில் பலர் குடிகாரர்களாக இருந்தார்கள் என்றும், பிஷப் அவர்களின் தாயாரின் சகோதரன் ஒருவர் இந்துமத சன்யாசியாக மாறிவிட்டார் என்றும், அதனால்தான் பிஷப் வாழ்க்கையும் இப்படியானது என்ற அர்த்ததில் எனக்கு கடிதம் எழுதியுள்ளார். ஆனால் இவருடைய இந்த குறிப்பிட்ட கருத்தில் எனக்கு ஒப்புதல் இல்லை.   ஒரு குடும்பத்தில் உள்ளவர்களின் நிலை அல்லது ஜாதிபுத்தி என்று கூறும் குற்றச்சாட்டு விஞ்ஞான பூர்வமாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கூடியதல்ல. ஜாதியோ, குடும்பமோ ஒருவனுடைய சுபாவத்தை நிர்ணியிக்காது. ஒருவன் எந்த குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தாலும், எந்த ஜாதியில் பிறந்தாலும் வேதவசனப்படிமனந்திரும்புதலின் அனுபவத்தில் வளர்ந்தால் இயேசுவின் இரத்தம் ஒருவனை கழுவினால் அவன் முற்றிலும் புது சிருஷ்டியாகிறான். அதுமட்டுமல்ல, பழையவை யாவும் ஒழிந்துப்போகிறது என்று நம் வேதம் போதிக்கிறது. அதில் பழைய பாவம் இயற்கை சுபாவம் ஆகிய எல்லாம் அடங்கும். ஆகவே மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப் தெரிந்தெடுப்பு பிரசித்திப்பெற்ற குடும்பம் (தரவாடு) உயர்ந்த குடும்பம் என்ற அடிப்படையில் இருப்பது சரியல்ல. இந்த பிஷப் Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos அவர்களும் குற்றஞ்சாட்டப்பட்ட தலைமை பிஷப் அவர்களும், அடுத்த உதவி தலைமை பிஷப்பானமெத்ராப்போலித்தா என்று அழைக்கப்படுபவர்களும் மிக உயர்ந்த குடும்பத்திலிருந்துதான் (தரவாட்டில்)தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள்மேல் அந்த காலத்திலிருந்தே கூறப்பட்ட பல தவறான தொடர்புகளைக்குறித்தும், அடுத்த உதவி தலைமை பிஷப் அவர்களைக்குறித்து கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்ட பாவசெயல்கள் யாவும் எல்லா மனுஷருக்குள்ளும் உண்டாகும் காம விகாரமும், சரீர பாவமுமாகும். இந்த பெரிய பிஷப்மார்களும் மனுஷர்களே, மனுஷனில் காணப்படும் எல்லா உணர்ச்சிகளும் இவர்களுக்கும் உண்டு. பாவ உணர்ச்சிகள் உண்டாவதில் உயர்ந்த குடும்பம் – தாழ்ந்த குடும்பம் என்ற பாகுபாடு இதில் இல்லை. ஆனால் இவர்கள் பாவத்தை அறிக்கையிட்டு மனந்திரும்பின அனுபவத்தின் அடிப்படையில் ஊழியத்தில் இறங்கியிருந்தால் இந்த கெட்ட பெயர்கள் உண்டாக வழியில்லை! ஆகவே முதலில் மார்தோமாவில் பிஷப் அவர்களை தெரிந்தெடுப்பில் மிக உயர்ந்த குடும்பத்திலிருந்து தெரிந்தெடுக்கும் நிலைமாறவேண்டும்! இயேசுகிறிஸ்து தன் சீஷர்களாக தெரிந்தெடுத்தவர்கள் யாவரும் உயர்ந்த ஜாதிக்காரர்கள் அல்ல! அவர்கள் யாவரும் படிப்பறிவில்லாதவர்கள், வெறும் மீன் பிடிப்பவர்கள். இதை மார்தோமா மண்டலத்தில் (சினாட்) உள்ளவர்களும், குருமார்களும் புரிந்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.   கடந்த சில மாதங்களுக்குமுன் 2011 மார்ச் மாதம் மார்தோமா சபைகளுக்கு மேலும் 3 பிஷப்புகளை தெரிந்தெடுக்க திருவல்லாவில் மண்டலம் (சினாட்) கூடியது. முதல் இரண்டு குருமார்கள் எதிர்ப்பு ஏதும் இல்லாமல் தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டனர். முதலில் ஆயரான Rev.K.V.Varki அவர்களின் பெயரை பிஷப் தெரிந்தெடுப்பில் அறிவித்து இவர்மேல் ஏதாவது குற்றசாட்டுகள் உண்டா? இவரை தெரிந்தெடுக்க கூடாதபடி எதிர்ப்பு கூறுபவர்கள் உண்டா? என்று சினாட்டில் பகிரங்க அறிவிப்பு உண்டானது. உடனே 13 பேர்கள் அந்த ஆயருக்கு எதிராக புகார் அறிவித்தார்கள். நியாயப்படி பிஷப்மார்களும், மண்டலத்தில் (சினாட்டில்) உள்ளவர்களும் அந்த குற்றச்சாட்டை விசாரிக்கவேண்டும் அல்லது அந்த ஆயரை பிஷப்பாக தெரிந்தெடுக்காமல் இருந்திருக்கவேண்டும். ஆனால் 13 பேர்கள் கூறிய எல்லா புகார்களையும் அலட்சியப்படுத்திவிட்டு அதை பொருட்ப்படுத்தாமல் அந்த குறிப்பிட்ட ஆயரே இப்போது புது பிஷப்பாக தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார் என்று சினாட்டில் பிஷப்மார் அறிவித்தது என்ன நியாயம்? ஜனநாயம் இங்கு செத்துப்போனது!   இந்த தேர்தல் நேரத்தில் CSI, லூத்தரன் சபைகளில் உண்டாவதைப்போல் நிச்சயம் அடிதடி உண்டாகும் என்று முதல்நாளே செய்திகள் வந்தது. தேர்தல் நடக்கும் காம்பவுண்டில் மார்தோமா சபைக்கு சம்பந்தமில்லாத நபர்கள் உலாவிக்கொண்டுருந்தார்கள் என்றும் அவர்கள் ரௌடிகள் என்றும் அதில் பலர் கலர் பனியனும், கைகளில் இரும்பு வளையமும் வைத்துக்கொண்டு திரிந்தார்கள் என்று பலர் அறிவித்தார்கள். தேர்தலுக்கு முதல்நாளே ஓட்டுபோடும் நபர்களுக்கு பயமுறுத்தல்களும், எச்சரிக்கை வார்த்தைகளும் போன் வழியாக கூறப்பட்டதாம். குறிப்பிட்ட நபர்களுக்கு ஓட்டுபோடாமல் எதிர்ப்புகள் தெரிவித்தால், நிச்சயம் அவர்கள் யாராகயிருந்தாலும் அடிவாங்காமல் வெளியே போகமுடியாது என்றும் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டதாம். உடனே Prof.மாமச்சன் என்பவர் பிஷப்.ஐரேனியஸ் மெத்ரோபோலித்தா அவர்களுடன் இவ்விவரம் அறிவித்து அடிதடி உண்டாகாமல் இருக்க எங்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்புக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்யுங்கள் என்று கேட்டபோது நீங்கள் குண்டர்கள்மூலம் கிடைப்பதை வாங்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்று பதில் கூறியபோது மெத்தப்படித்த அவர் மிகவும் வேதனைப்பட்டாராம். ஒரு பிஷப் இப்படி பதில் கூறுகிறாரே, அப்படியானால் குண்டர்களை ஏற்பாடு செய்தது யார்? என்பதை சபை விசுவாசிகள் எல்லாரும் புரிந்துக்கொண்டதாக ஒரு துண்டுப்பிரதியில் வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்கள். அந்தProf.மாமச்சனை அன்று அவர் பயந்ததைப்போல் ரௌடிகள் அவரை அடித்துப்போட்டார்கள். அவர் எதிர்ப்பார்த்தது நடந்தது. அவர் ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டார்.   பிஷப்.ஐரேனியஸ் மெத்ரோபோலித்தா என்ற உதவி தலைமை பிஷப் அவர்களுக்கு குருமார்களின் சப்போர்ட் நிறைய உண்டு. இந்த சப்போர்ட் அந்த பிஷப்மேல் உள்ள அன்பினால் ஏற்பட்டதல்ல. அவர் ஒரு சர்வாதிகாரி என்ற பயத்தால் ஏற்பட்டதாக கூறுகிறார்கள்.   நல்ல குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தவரும், மனந்திரும்பின அனுபவமுள்ளவரும், கன்வென்ஷன்பிரசங்கியும், குணமாக்கும் வரம் உள்ளவருமான Rev.Dr.ஆபிரகாம் லிங்கன் என்ற ஆயர் அவர்களை பிஷப் ஆகாமல் இருக்க மார்தோமா பிஷப்மாரும், சில ஆயரும் சேர்ந்து எப்படியெல்லாம் அந்த பதவி உயர்வை தடுத்தார்கள் என்று அநேக வருடங்களுக்குமுன் கதைகதையாக ஆயர்மார்கள் பலர் என்னிடம் கூறகேட்டேன். மார்தோமா சபையில் பெரும்பான்மை மக்கள் ஆபிரகாம் லிங்கன் என்ற ஆயரை பிஷப்பாக்க மிகவும் ஆசைப்பட்டார்கள். ஆன்மீகத்தில் ஆழமான அனுபவமுள்ளவர் பிஷப் ஆகக்கூடாது என்று பிஷப்மார்களே ஆயர்கள்மூலம் உள்ஏற்பாடுகள் இரகசியமாக செய்து அவரை பிஷப் ஆகாமல் தடுத்துப்போட்டார்கள் என்று கூறக்கேட்டேன். ஆவிக்குரியவர்களுக்கு கிடைக்கும் மரியாதையைப் பார்த்தீர்களா?   மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப்மார்களின் நிலை மிக மோசமாகப்போவதை அறிந்த, மார்தோமா சபையின்மீது உண்மையான பாரம் கொண்ட மார்தோமா சபை மக்கள் பலர் உபவாசம் செய்து அழுது ஜெபிக்க ஒரு பெரிய ஜெபக்கூட்டத்தை மஞ்ஜாடியில் உள்ள திருமதி.பொன்னம்மா அவர்கள் வீட்டில் ஏற்பாடு செய்து மார்தோமா சபை விசுவாசிகள் ஜெபித்தார்கள்.   பரிசுத்த குலைச்சலும், நவீன உபதேசங்களும், சோதோம் கொமாராவின் பாவங்களும் பல மார்தோமா பிஷப்மார்களிடம் பெருகிவிட்டது என்பதுதான் இப்படிப்பட்ட வேதனையான செய்திகள் மூலம் அறிகிறோம். நல்ல சபை, நல்ல சபைமக்கள், ஆனால் அந்த மார்தோமா சபையில் உள்ள பிஷப்மார்கள் பலர் சபை மக்களுக்கு அவமானம் உண்டாக்கி கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள். இப்படிப்பட்ட பிஷப்மார்களின் செய்திகளை, பல வருடங்களுக்குமுன்பே ஜாமக்காரனில் மார்தோமா சபை வாசகர்களுக்காக அறிவித்த என்னை (Dr.புஷ்பராஜ்) மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப்மார்கள் தங்கள் சபைகளில் பிரசங்கிக்ககூடாது என்று தடை உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்தார்கள். ஆனால் உலகமே பார்க்கும் வண்ணம் புகைப்படத்துடன் தினம்தினம் தொடர்ந்து மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப்மார்களின் பாவ செய்திகளை வெளியிட்ட சூர்யா TVயையோ, ஏசியா நெட் கண்ணாடி என்ற சேனலையோ தடை செய்ய இவர்களால் முடியாது. கர்த்தர் இவைகள் யாவற்றையும் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்பதை இவர்கள் இன்னும் உணரவில்லை.   மார்தோமா சபையில் பல பிஷப்மார்கள் இப்படிப்பட்ட பலவித பாவத்தின் பிடியில் அகப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது சபையில் பரிசுத்தம் எப்படி வரும்? வாலிபர்களுக்கும், வாலிபப் பெண்களுக்கும் இவர்கள் எப்படி வழி காட்டுவார்கள்? மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப்மார்களில் பலர் பெண்கள் சம்பந்தமான பாவத்தில் விழுகிறார்கள். ஆண்களோடு-ஆண்கள் சேரும் பாவத்தில் சிலர் விழுகிறார்கள். இப்படி இவர்கள் பாவத்தில் விழுந்துக்கிடந்தால் எத்தனை வருடங்கள் தொடர்ந்து இவர்கள் மாராமன் கன்வென்ஷன்கள் (MARAMON CONVENTION)நடத்தினாலும் சபை மக்கள், வாலிபப் பிள்ளைகள் எவருக்கும் உயிர் மீட்சியோ, பரிசுத்தமோ உண்டாகாது.   CSI சபைகளிலோ பணக்கொள்ளையில் சில பிஷப்மார் விழுந்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.   மார்தோமா – பெந்தேகோஸ்தே, கத்தோலிக்க சபைகளில் பிஷப்மார்கள் பலர் பெண்கள்பாவத்தில் விழுந்துக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள்.   யாக்கோபையா – ஆர்த்டாக்ஸ் சபையில் பிஷப்மார்களின் சொத்து சண்டை, சொத்து உரிமை (அவகாசம்) சண்டை வீதிக்குவந்து உலகமக்கள் வேடிக்கை பார்க்கும் நிலை அரங்கேறிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. இந்த நிலையில் இந்த சபைகளிலெல்லாம் அங்கத்தினர்களாக உள்ள இரட்சிக்கப்பட்ட விசுவாசிகள் பலர் நாங்கள் இனி எங்குபோய் ஆராதிப்பது? எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளை பிஷப்மார் பக்கத்தில் அல்லதுபாஸ்டர்மார் பக்கத்தில் ஜெபத்துக்காக கொண்டுபோகவே பயமாக இருக்கிறது என்று சிலர் எழுதும்போது! Sodomy charge against Kerala bishop 24 July 2011 THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, 24 JULY: A Kerala Marthoma Bishop, who is alleged to have sodomised a former diocese employee, is facing a police probe. On a petition filed by the victim Samkutty, 38, a native of Ranni in Pathanamthitta district, Magistrate Bilkul of the Pathanamthitta Judicial Magistrate Court- 1 has directed Aranmula Police to investigate into the complaint. Mr Samkutty, a former operational manager at the retreat centre in Munnar run by the Kottayam-Kochi diocese of the Marthoma Church, said in the petition that Bishop Dr. Eueyakkim Mar Kurlose, who heads the diocese, had sexually abused him in 2009 at the centre, the Aranmula retreat house and the Kottayam Bishop House. As he resisted the Bishop’s misdemeanour, Mr Samkutty’s probation had been extended and he was finally sacked from the job in 2010, he said in the complaint. “I had to frequently meet him for the direction to run the retreat house where things were in a total mess. And I was just on probation. Taking advantage of this, he has misbehaved with me.’’ Mr Samkutty had formally filed a complaint with Joseph Mar Metropolitan, the head of the Marthoma Church, a highly influential Christian sect in Kerala, seeking stringent action against the bishop. In the complaint, he had said that the bishop had abused several people earlier also. For the past one year, discussions were held at various levels in the church, but no action was taken against the bishop, on the contrary he has been elevated to higher positions. During this period, the church had assured Mr Samkutty that his grievance would be redressed and should not take the legal course. Having realized, he said in the complaint to the court, that he would get no justice from the church authorities, he decided to move court against the bishop. The court has directed police to register the case under CrPC 377 (engaging in unnatural sex) and if the charge is proved, he will get a jail term for 10 years. Mr Zakkeer Husain, counsel of the victim, fears that the investigation will take more time than usual because of the long list of witnesses. Only after recording their statements, police can file a charge-sheet in the court. (CBS) Should nuns take birth control pills? A controversial new commentary published Thursday suggests nuns who take birth control will significantly cut their risk of getting cancer.

Why nuns? Nuns are nulliparous, meaning they don’t have children. Women who don’t have children undergo more menstrual cycles than women who have kids, because they don’t get pregnant or breastfeed. More cycles mean more cancer risk, according to the study authors.

The authors said the nearly 95,000 nuns worldwide “pay a terrible price for their chastity,” because they face a greater risk for breast, ovarian, and uterine cancers.

“If the Catholic Church could make the oral contraceptive pill freely available to all its nuns, it would reduce the risk of those accursed pests, cancer of the ovary and uterus, and give nuns’ plight the recognition it deserves,” study authors Dr. Kara Britt of Monash University and Professor Roger Short of the University of Melbourne in Australia, said in a written statement.

For the study, published in the Dec. 8 issue of The Lancet, researchers reviewed birth control studies, and found women who take the pill have a 12 percent lower overall death rate than women who don’t. They also found risk of developing ovarian and endometrial cancers fell by up to 60 percent in pill users compared with women who have never taken it. The cancer protection lasted for 20 years, suggesting a clear long-term benefit of taking the pill, the authors said.

The pill isn’t totally risk-free. The authors said it can increase risk of blood clots for some women, so past medical histories must be considered before a its prescribed.

The Catholic church condemned all forms of contraception in 1968 under Pope Paul VI’s Humanae Vitae, but the authors said nuns should be exempt because that same document states that “the Church in no way regards as unlawful therapeutic means considered necessary to cure organic diseases, even though they also have a contraceptive effect.”

Where did the study authors get the idea that the Catholic church controls nuns’ medical care? Sister Mary Ann Walsh of the U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops asks. She told ABC News that nuns have the same access to care that every woman has, which includes the pill.

“A nun goes to a doctor for her medical care, and if that medical care requires a certain kind of medicine then that medicine is prescribed,” Walsh told ABC News.

Her take? Suggesting that all nuns should take birth control pills is “rather sweeping and almost irresponsible.”

“There are risks with the pill just as there are risks with doing nothing with regard to uterine and ovarian cancer,” Walsh said. “A nun’s decision needs to be worked out between the nun and her doctor.”

சேர்ந்த பாஸ் டர் பிரபாகரன். இவர் அறக்கட்டளை நடத்தி வருகிறார்.
அதில் உறுப்பினராக சேர க்ஷீ 2,100 கட்டினால், முதல் 2 மாதம் க்ஷீ 600, மூன்றாம்

மாதம் முதல் 11 மாதம் வரை க்ஷீ 1,200 என மொத்தம் க்ஷீ 12 ஆயிரம் வழங்கப்படும்.

அதேபோல க்ஷீ 5,250 கட்டி னால் 11 மாதத்தில் ரூ.27 ஆயிரம், க்ஷீ 10,500 கட்டினால்

11 மாதத்தில் க்ஷீ 54 ஆயிரம், க்ஷீ 26,250 கட்டினால் 11 மாதத்தில்

க்ஷீ 1 லட்சத்து 23,800 வழங்கப்படும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
இந்த திட்டத்தில் உறுப்பினராக சேர தமிழகம், ஆந்திர மாநிலம் முழுவதும்

பல்வேறு கிறிஸ்தவ சபைகள் மூலமாக 1 லட்சத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்டவர்களிடம்

பணம் வசூலித்து பிரபாகரனிடம் கொடுத்துள் ளார் கிருபாகரன், அதன்படி இந்த

திட்டத்தில் சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு கடந்த சில மாதங்களாக அறிவித்தபடி பிரபாகரன்

பணமும் கொடுத்துள்ளார். ஆனால், கடந்த 3 மாதமாக பணம் கொடுக்கப்படவில் லை.
இதுகுறித்து, பணம் வசூலித்துக் கொடுத்த பாஸ்டர்கள், கிருபாகரனை சந்தித்து

விசாரித்தனர். அவர் பணம் வாங்கித் தருவதாகக் கூறி காலம் கடத்தியிருக்கிறார்.

இந்நிலையில், சில தினங்களுக்கு மு ன்பு, கிருபாகரன் குடும்பத்துடன் தலைமறைவானார்.
அவரிடம் பணம் கொடுத்து ஏமாந்தவர்களில் ஒருவரான திருநின்றவூர் வடிவேல் நகரை

சேர்ந்த பாஸ்டர் கோபு, திருமுல்லைவாயல் போலீசில் புகார் கொடுத்தார். இன்ஸ்பெக்டர்

பால்ராஜ் வழக்குப்  பதிவு செய்து விசாரித்தார்.
இதற்கிடையில், கிருபாகரனை 5 பேர் கடத்திச் சென்று புரசைவாக்கத்தில் லாட்ஜில் அடைத்து

வைத்திருப்பதாக, அவரது மனைவி ராகில் புகார் செய்தார். அதன்பேரில், திருமுல்லைவாயல்

போலீஸ்  இன்ஸ்பெக்டர்கள் பால்ராஜ், தமிழ்வாணன் ஆகியோர் அங்கு சென்று அவரை மீட்டு

வந்தனர். அவரை கடத்தியதாக 5 பேர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
மீட்கப்பட்ட கிருபாகரனிடம் விசாரித்தபோது, உறுப்பினர்களிடமிருந்து
க்ஷீ 35 கோடி வசூலித்து ஏமாற்றிய விவரம் தெரியவந்தது. அவரை

போலீசார் கைது செய்தனர். பின்னர், அவரை அம்பத்தூர் நீதிமன்றத்தி

ல் ஆஜர்படுத்தி புழல் சிறையில் அடைத்தனர். அறக்கட்டளை  நடத்திய

பிரபாகரனை போலீசார் தேடி வருகின்றனர்.

சிஸ்டர் ஜெஸ்மி எழுதி மலையாளத்திலும் பின் ஆங்கிலத்திலும் வெளியாகி பரபரப்பைத் தேடிக்கொண்ட புத்தகம் ‘ஆமென்’. ஜெஸ்மியின் தன்வரலாறு. பள்ளியில் படிக்கும்போதே தான் ஒரு கன்யாஸ்திரீ ஆகவேண்டும் என்று முடிவெடுத்த ஓர் இளம்பெண், எப்படி தன் விருப்பத்தை அடைந்தார், ஆனால் ஒரு கத்தோலிக்க கன்யாஸ்திரீயாக அவர் எவ்விதமான இன்னல்களை வாழ்வில் சந்திக்கவேண்டிவந்தது என்பதை இந்தப் புத்தகம் எடுத்துவைக்கிறது.

புத்தகத்தை நான் மூன்று பகுதிகளாகப் பார்க்கிறேன். சிலிர்க்கவைக்கும் ஜெஸ்மியின் இயேசு அனுபவங்கள். ஒரு கன்யாஸ்திரீயாக ஆகவேண்டும் என்று அவருக்கு ஏற்படும் ஆன்மிக அனுபவத்தை இயேசுவுடனான திருமணம், இயேசுவுடன் கூடுவதுபோன்ற உணர்வு என்று உருவகிக்கும்போது கிட்டத்தட்ட ஆண்டாளை நெருங்குகிறார். புத்தகத்தின் கவித்துவமான கணங்கள் இவை. தொடர்ந்து அவர் இயேசுவுடன் ஆத்மார்த்தமாகப் பேசுவது, சண்டை போடுவது எல்லாம் சுவையாக ரசிக்கத்தக்கவை. அடுத்து, அவரது கன்யாஸ்திரீ வாழ்க்கைமுழுவதும் மடத்தில் உள்ள பெண்களாலும் ஆண்களாலும் ஏற்படும் பாலியல் தொந்தரவுகள். இதுபற்றி அறிந்திராதவர்களுக்கு இது அதிர்ச்சியைத் தரலாம். ஆனால் எனக்கு அவ்வளவாக அதிர்ச்சியாக இல்லை. ஆனால் கொஞ்சம் அதீதமாகச் சொல்கிறாரோ என்ற எண்ணம் தோன்றாமல் இல்லை.

கடைசியாக, தொடர்ந்து அவருக்குப் பிறருடன் ஏற்படும் தகராறுகள். அதில் பல ‘அவள் என்னோட முடியைப் பிடிச்சு இழுத்தா!’ ரக சில்லறை விஷயங்கள். ஒரு புத்தகத்தில் எழுதத்தக்கவையே அல்ல. சில நிர்வாகத்தின் ஊழலில் அவர் பங்குகொள்ளாமல் எதிர்த்தபோது ஏற்பட்ட தகராறுகள். இதனை ஓரளவு புரிந்துகொள்ளமுடிகிறது. ஆனால் இங்கும் அவர் தன் தரப்பு வாதத்தை மட்டுமே வைக்கிறார் என்பதுபோலத் தோன்றியது. மாற்றுத் தரப்புக்கும் இடம் இருக்கக்கூடும் என்று நினைக்கத் தோன்றுகிறது. இறுதியாக, சம்பந்தா சம்பந்தமே இல்லாமல் இவரது உயரதிகாரியான மதர் ஜெனரலுக்கும் இவருக்கும் நடக்கும் உரசல், அவர் ஜெஸ்மியை மனநல ஆஸ்பத்திரிக்கு அனுப்ப முயற்சி செய்வது, அதிலிருந்து இவர் தப்பிப்பது, பின் ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக மடத்திலிருந்து எப்படியாவது வெளியேறிவிடுவது என்று முடிவுசெய்துவிட்டு ஏதோ வில்லன்கள் குகையிலிருந்து தப்பிவருவதுபோல ஓட்டம் எடுப்பது. இது கொஞ்சம்கூட ஒட்டவில்லை.

முதலில் (இயேசுவுடனான) காதலைப் பார்ப்போம்.

என்னுடைய இயேசுவானவர் என்னை மணமகளாக சுவீகரித்துக்கொண்ட அன்றைய பரிசுத்தத் திருப்பலியை மனதிற்கிசைந்த ஒரு திருவிருந்தாக நான் உணர்ந்தேன். திரு உட்கொண்டதன்பின் நடக்கும் ஒன்றுகூடலின் பரவசத்தின்போது, நான் உமக்கானவள் மட்டுமே என்று அறிவித்த எனது விரலில் இயேசு மோதிரம் அணிவித்தார். ஆன்மிக நிலையில் மோட்சத்தினை நோக்கி உயர்த்தப்பட்ட அந்நிமிடங்களில் அவருக்கானவளாக மட்டுமே என்னால் இருக்கமுடியும் என்பதைப் புரிந்துகொண்டேன். இனியொரு திருமணம் எனக்குத் தேவையில்லை, வாழ்க்கையில் எல்லா உலகியல் ஆசாபாசங்களும் தேவையில்லை, அவர்தான் எனது ஜீவன், ஏக அபயம், உறுதியான கற்பாறை, எனது கோட்டை, எனது வழி, உண்மை, எனது மோட்சம், எனது ஆனந்தம், என்னுடைய எல்லாமே… (பக்கம் 19)

இது மேமி எனப்படும் பின்னாளில் கன்னிகாஸ்திரீயாக ஆகும்போது ஜெஸ்மி என்று பெயர் மாற்றம் பெற்றவர் கல்லூரியில் பிரீ டிகிரி படிக்கும்போது கத்தோலிக்க மாணவர்கள் குளோஸ்ட் ரிட்ரீட் என்ற முறையில் மூன்று நாள்கள் ஜெபம் செய்யும்போது அவருக்கு ஏற்பட்ட அனுபவம். இதன் பின்னர்தான் மேமி கன்யாஸ்த்ரீயாக முடிவெடுக்கிறார். ஒருவித ட்ரான்ஸ் நிலையில் இறைவனோடு பேசுவதான, கூடுவதான நிலைகளை அவர் கற்பித்துக்கொள்கிறார்.

பின்னர் திருச்சபை சட்டப்பயிற்சியின்போது அவருக்கு ஏற்பட்ட அனுபவத்தை எழுதுகிறார்.

அன்றிரவு எங்களுக்குச் சீக்கிரமாகப் படுத்துக்கொள்வதற்கான அனுமதி உண்டு. கடந்த நாட்களில் நாங்கள் தொடர்ந்து பிரார்த்தனையில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்தோம் அல்லவா? ஆனால், ஏதோ ஒரு ஆன்மிகத் தூண்டுதல் என்னை ஜெபக்கூடத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றது. மற்றொரு நோவீஷுடன் நான் பீடத்தின்முன் முழந்தாளிட்டு நின்றேன். படிப்படியாகப் பிரார்த்தனையில் மூழ்கி தன்னை மறந்துபோனேன். ஓசையில்லாமல், அசைவில்லாமல், வெளிச்சமில்லாமல், நேரம் போவதறியாமல்… காற்றில் மிதக்கிறேனா நான்? திடீரென்று அது நிகழ்ந்தது. இயேசுவானவர் என்னுடைய இருதயத்தினுள் குதித்தார்.

என்னுடைய உடல் பயங்கரமான இறுக்கத்தை அனுபவித்தது. இயேசுவே… என்னுடலினுள் உம்முடைய நுழைவின் உடல்ரீதியான அனுபவம்… இருதயம் தகர்ந்துபோகிறது. நானொரு புது சிருஷ்டியாக உருவாவதை என்னால் உணரமுடிகிறது. இயேசுவானவர் இப்போது என்னுடைய மனதிலும் உடலிலும் இணைந்திருக்கிறார். அவரது அசாதாரணமான ஐக்கியம், அவருடன் சேர்ந்தே இருப்பது – இதுதான் என்னுடைய ஒரே ஆசை. சொர்க்கம் வேறெங்குமில்லை என்பதை நான் இப்போது உணர்ந்துகொண்டேன். (பக்கம் 46, 47)

இதுபோன்ற இண்டென்ஸ் ஆன்மிக அனுபவங்களுக்குப் பிறகு சடங்குரீதியாக இயேசுவுக்கு மணவாட்டியாக இவரும் இவருடைய பேட்ச்சில் உள்ள பிற பெண்களும் கன்யாஸ்திரீ ஆகிறார்கள். கத்தோலிக்க அமைப்பின் ஒரு கல்லூரியில் ஆசிரியையாக வேலை கிடைக்கிறது.

அதன்பின் அவருக்கு ஏற்படுவதெல்லாம் மோசமான அனுபவங்களே என்பதாகவே புத்தகம் சொல்கிறது. பெண் துறவிகள் ஒருபால் சேர்க்கை நாட்டம் கொண்டவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.

சிஸ்டர் விமி என் பின்னால் திரிகிறாள் என்பதை நான் மெதுவாகவே புரிந்துகொண்டேன். … விடுதியில் உள்ளவர்கள் என்னைத் தேடி வரும்போது அவர்களிடம் கோபப்படுவதும் அலமாரியில் வைப்பதற்காக அவர்கள் கொண்டுவருகிற டேப் ரிக்கார்டரை இழுத்து வெளியே எறிவதுமாக என்னைப் பழி தீர்க்க ஆரம்பித்தாள். அவளுடைய இச்சைகளுக்கு நான் இணங்கவில்லை என்பதுதான் கோபத்திற்குக் காரணம் எனும் விஷயத்தை மற்ற கன்யாஸ்திரீகள் புரிந்துகொண்டார்கள். கடைசியில், அவளுடன் ஒத்துப்போகும்படி அவர்கள் எனக்கு ஜாடைமாடையாக அறிவுறுத்த ஆரம்பித்தார்கள்.

என்னுடைய பாதுகாப்புக்கு வேறு யாரும் இல்லை என்ற நிலையில் கொஞ்ச நாட்கள் அவளுடைய விருப்பங்களுக்கு நான் ஒத்துழைத்தேன். இரவு நேரங்களில் எல்லோரும் தூங்கியபிறகு அவள் மெதுவாக வந்து என் படுக்கையில் நுழைவாள். பிறகு அவள் என்மீது காட்டுகிற அசிங்கங்களை எல்லாம் என்னால் தடுக்க முடியாமல் போய்விடும். தனித் தனிக் கதவுகள் இல்லாத அறைகள், விரிப்புகளால் பிரிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன. எனவே வாசலை அடைக்க இயலாது. கர்ப்பம் தரிக்காமல் இருக்கவே தான் சுயபாலின்பத்தை விரும்புவதாகச் சொல்வாள். (பக்கம் 58, 59)

ஆண் துறவிகள் அவரவர் மடங்களில் இப்படியே வாழ்வதாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ளலாம். இடையிடையே ஆண் துறவிகள் வாய்ப்பு கிடைக்கும்போது பெண் துறவிகளைப் பயன்படுத்திக்கொள்கிறார்கள். சிஸ்டர் ஜெஸ்மி பெங்களூரு செல்லும்போது இப்படி நடக்கிறது.

அதிகாலையில் நான் பெங்களூரு ஸ்டேஷனுக்கு வந்து சேரும்போது அருட்தந்தை, பொறுமையிழந்தவராக, என்னை எதிர்பார்த்துக் காத்திருப்பதை ரயிலிலிருந்து இறங்கும்போதே கவனித்தேன். அவருடைய அடக்கமான இயல்புக்கு மாறாக, என்னைக் கண்டதுமே மிகுந்த ஆவேசத்துடன் ஆலிங்கனம் செய்து, ஏற்கெனவே உறுதியளித்திருந்தது போன்ற ராஜ உபச்சாரத்துடன் அவரது தங்குமிடத்துக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போனார். …

… நெருக்கியபடி என்னருகே உட்கார்ந்துகொண்ட அருட்தந்தை, மூச்சடைக்கவைப்பதுபோல் என்னைப் பலமாகக் கட்டிப்பிடித்தார். அவரது பிடியிலிருந்து என்னை விடுவித்துக்கொள்ள நான் முயற்சி செய்வதற்கிடையே என் மார்பகங்களைப் பற்றியபடி அவற்றைக் காட்டித்தரும்படிக் கேட்டார். என்னைப் பலவந்தமாகப் பிடித்து உட்காரவைத்துவிட்டுக் கேட்டார்:

‘உன்னுடைய வாழ்க்கையில் இதுவரை நீ ஏதாவதொரு ஆண்மகனைப் பார்த்திருக்கிறாயா?’

இல்லயென்று தலையசைத்தேன். உடனே தன்னுடைய ஆடைகளைக் களைந்தார். (பக்கம் 102, 103)

இப்படியான சில பல காமப் பிரச்னைகளை புத்தகம் நெடுகிலும் காணலாம். காமக்கொடூரன்கள் எல்லா சாதிகளிலும் எல்லா மதங்களிலும் உண்டு என்றாலும் வழிபாடு, கல்வி என்று கத்தோலிக்க மத அமைப்பில், மக்களின் நம்பிக்கைக்கு உகந்த இடங்களில் இருப்போர் சிறுவர், சிறுமிகளை, ஆதரவற்ற கன்யாஸ்திரீகளை சீரழிப்பது உலகம் முழுதும் நடக்கும் ஒன்று. இந்தியா போன்ற நாடுகளில் இத்தகைய பிரச்னைகளை நீதிமன்றத்துக்கு எடுத்துச் செல்ல அவ்வளவாக இடம் இருப்பதில்லை என்பது சோகம். மேலிடத்தால் இதுபோன்ற சம்பவங்கள் எப்போதும் இழுத்து மூடப்படுகிறது.

மற்றபடி கேரள கத்தோலிக்கக் கல்வி நிலையங்களில் ஊழல் பலவிதங்களில் தலைவிரித்தாடுவதை ஜெஸ்மியின் புத்தகம் விவரிக்கிறது. தனிநபர் ஊழல், புறஞ்சொல்லுதல், பொறாமை, பணம் கையாடல், நன்கொடை வசூலித்தல், ஏமாற்றுதல், வஞ்சம் தீர்த்தல், ஆட்களைக் கருவி அழித்தல்… மாறி மாறி, பக்கத்துக்குப் பக்கம் இப்படிச் செல்லும்போது மிகுந்த அலுப்பையே தருகிறது.

ஆனால் தனி நபராக ஒருவருக்கு இந்த அளவுக்குத் தொல்லைகள், அதுவும் பாலியல் தொல்லைகளும் சேர்த்து என்று வரும்போது ஜெஸ்மிமீது பரிதாபமும் வருகிறது. ஏன் இவர் இந்தக் கேடுகெட்ட ஸ்தாபனத்தில் இன்னமும் தொடரவேண்டும், ஏன் அறுத்துக்கொண்டு ஓடியிருக்கக்கூடாது என்ற கேள்வி எழுகிறது. ஆனால் அது அவ்வளவு எளிதான ஒரு செயல் அல்ல என்று கோடிட்டுக் காட்டுகிறார் ஜெஸ்மி.

என்ன செய்வார்கள்? திரும்பப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோய்த் துன்புறுத்த அது என்ன ஜெயிலா? கத்தோலிக்க அமைப்பிலிருந்து வெளியேறினால் ஆள்வைத்துக் கொல்வார்களா என்ன? புரியவில்லை. அவர் கடைசியாக வெளியேற முடிவுசெய்து ரயிலில் போகும்போது அவர் படும் பதைபதைப்பு புத்தகத்தில் வெளியாகிறது. அதையும் என்னால் புரிந்துகொள்ள முடிவதில்லை.

இன்று அவர் வெளியில் இருக்கிறார். தன் பிரச்னைகளைப் புத்தகமாகவும் எழுதி அது பல இந்திய மொழிகளில் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான பிரதிகள் விற்பனையும் ஆகியுள்ளது. அவரது உயிருக்கு எந்த ஆபத்தும் ஏற்படவில்லை. பின் ஏன் அந்த அளவுக்குப் பயந்தார்?

தீவிர கத்தோலிக்கர்கள் பதில் சொல்ல இந்தப் புத்தகத்தில் நிறைய இருக்கிறது. இந்தப் புத்தகம் அவர்கள் மத்தியில் சுய பரிசோதனைக்கு இட்டுச் சென்றதா? அல்லது கேடுகெட்ட, மூளை பிசகிய, பைத்தியக்காரி ஒருத்தியின் உளறல்கள் என்று சொல்லி, அவரை உதாசீனப்படுத்திவிட்டார்களா? தெரியவில்லை.

The charges against K Shantaraju, the 45-year-old pastor of the Bethel Church and Bethel Student Centre in Siddhartha Nagar, Jalahalli West, are being probed by the police after a complaint was filed by his wife Priyalatha at Gangammanagudi police station on Wednesday. Priyalatha said she deferred filing a police complaint against her husband all these years because she thought it fit to first raise the issue with his superiors. She also believed she could prevail upon him to mend his ways, but having failed she has now provided the police with photos which show Shantaraju in various poses with a girl who is allegedly a minor. “The children who were brought to the centre for the purpose of education are being used for illegal activities. Minors are being used for sexual activities. He has sexual relationships with many girls. I have witnessed these activities. When I questioned him, he threatened to kill me and my two children,”Priyalatha stated in her complaint. She has been married to Shantaraju for 15 years. After the death of her father-in-law Moses, her husband inherited the church. She alleged that her husband has been misusing donations from abroad. Shantaraju, who claimed that he has been separated from his wife for 11 years and is fighting a divorce case, denied all charges. “The whole thing is a plot to gain control over the trust and its properties. We used to receive Rs 2.5 lakh per month to take care of 275 children. She has made these allegations to the donors and donations have stopped in the last few months. She has brainwashed my mother and brother and they are also making false claims against me,” Shantaraju told Mirror. “Our second daughter is just seven years old and how can he claim that we have been separated for 11 years,” said Priyalatha, replying to his charge. Shantaraju also alleged that the photos were taken in 2005 and that his wife has manipulated them to show him in bad light. “The girl is 21 years old now and not a minor. I will show the cops the real facts. I am a trained pastor and my only aim is to continue the good work of my father. Meanwhile on Friday, the case took yet another turn when some girls claimed that the pastor was indeed a sexual predator. An 18-yr-old girl and former student at the centre, said, on condition of anonymity, that she had seen the pastor and a minor girl at his office room late in the evening many times. She alleged that he would consistently demand sexual favours from other girls. “It was an year ago. I was here. Uncle (Shantaraju) and the girl went inside his office. They locked the room. He asked me to stand outside and alert him if anyone came. But I told all the older girls who came that the two were inside,”  she said. இந்த புதுவிதமான யோகா பயிற்சி அளிப்பதற்காக நெதர்லாந்து, ருமேனியா, டென்மார்க் போன்ற நாடுகளில் இருந்து 3 பெண்கள் உட்பட 7 பேர் வந்துள்ளனர். பயிற்சிக்காக சென்னை வந்துள்ள டென்மார்க்கைச் சேர்ந்த கணவன்& மனைவியான மிகாய் ஸ்பென்ஸ், அடினா ஆகியோர், ஏற்கனவே ஆபாச படத்தில் நடித்தவர்கள் என்றும் புகார் தெரிவிக்கப் பட்டது.

வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்தபோலீசார்,  7 வெளிநாட்டினரையும் விசாரணைக்கு வருமாறு உத்தரவிட்டனர். ஆனால் அவர்கள் விசாரணைக்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு கொடுக்கவில்லை. அந்த 7 பேரும் யோகா மையத்தை பூட்டிவிட்டு ஓடிவிட்டனர். இதையடுத்து, அங்கு போலீசார் அதிரடியாக புகுந்து சோதனை நடத்தினர். அப்போது மறைத்து வைத்திருந்த ஏராளமான சிடிக்கள் பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டன. அனைத்தும் ஆபாச சிடிக்கள் என்பது தெரிந்தது. இதைத்தொடர்ந்து போலீசார், யோகா மையத்துக்கு பூட்டு போட்டனர். தலைமறைவான வர்களை போலீசார் தேடி வருகின்றனர்.

நீலாங்கரை மையத்தில் ‘தாந்திர கிளவ்’ யோகா
