சென்னை – மயிலாப்பூர் மறை மாவட்ட கத்தோலிக்கப் பேராயர் ஏ.எம். சின்னப்பாவை கைது செய்ய சென்னை மாநகர சிவில் நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

இது தொடர்பாக சென்னை பட்டாபிராமைச் சேர்ந்த ஜெ. பிரான்ஸிஸ் போர்ஜியா, எஸ். சந்தானம் ஆகியோர் மனுக்களை தாக்கல் செய்தனர்.

பட்டாபிராமில் உள்ள புனித ஆரோக்கிய மாதா தேவாலயத்தின் 2006 முதல் 2009-ம் ஆண்டு வரையிலான வரவு – செலவு கணக்கு விவரங்களை அளிக்கக் கோரி ஆலயத்தின் பங்கு தந்தை கே.எம். ஆல்வினிடம் கோரிக்கை வைத்தோம். ஆனால் அவர் விவரங்களை தர மறுத்து விட்டார். பின்னர் மயிலை மறைமாவட்ட பேராயர் ஏ.எம். சின்னப்பாவிடம் தணிக்கை செய்யப்பட்ட கணக்கு விவரங்களைக் கோரினோம். அவரும் விவரங்களை அளிக்க மறுத்து விட்டார்.

பின்னர் சிவில் நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்குத் தொடர்ந்தோம். வழக்கை விசாரித்த சிவில் நீதிமன்றம், தணிக்கை செய்யப்பட்ட மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்கான கணக்கு விவரங்களை அளிக்கும்படி பேராயர் ஏ.எம். சின்னப்பா, பங்கு தந்தை ஆல்வின் ஆகியோருக்கு கடந்த 17.8.2010 அன்று உத்தரவிட்டது.

அதன் பிறகும் அவர்கள் கணக்கு விவரங்களை அளிக்கவில்லை. ஆகவே, நீதிமன்ற உத்தரவை செயல்படுத்தும்படி அவர்கள் இருவருக்கும் நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட வேண்டும் என்று அந்த மனுவில் கோரப்பட்டிருந்தது.

இந்த மனுவை விசாரித்த சென்னை மாநகர சிவில் நீதிமன்றம் அண்மையில் பிறப்பித்த உத்தரவு:-

பேராயர் சின்னப்பா, பங்கு தந்தை ஆல்வின் ஆகிய இருவருக்கும் வாரண்ட் உத்தரவுகள் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளன. அந்த உத்தரவுகளை அவர்கள் இருவரும் பெற்றுக் கொண்டுள்ளனர். ஆனால் நீதிமன்றத்தில் அவர்கள் எவ்வித பதிலும் அளிக்கவில்லை. ஆகவே, டிசம்பர் 7-ம் தேதிக்குள் அவர்களை கைது செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

Arrest of Acting Archbishop ordered

A City Civil Court has ordered the arrest of A.M. Chinnappa, Acting Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, and a parish priest in connection with a suit filed against them for not furnishing statement of account related to a church in Pattabiram.

In a suit before the City Civil Court, one J. Francis Borgia and S. Santhanam said they were parishioners of the Church of Our Lady of Health, Pattabiram Military Siding.

They were paying monthly subscription to the church.

Hence, the Archbishop and the parish priest K.M. Alwin were jointly liable to furnish statement of account to the parishioners.

The plaintiffs said the funds collected from them were not utilised properly and that were also mismanaged. Hence there was no development in the church. In the suit, they prayed the court to direct the Archbishop and the priest to furnish the audited statement of accounts to them. The court had directed them to furnish the account from 2006 to 2009.

Alleging that the Archbishop and the priest failed to furnish the accounts, the plaintiffs filed an execution petition seeking to direct the Archbishop to furnish statement of accounts and in default, his arrest might be ordered. “Direction warrant already served. Document not produced. Hence arrest by December 7,” X Assistant Judge said in his order .

K.A.Paul இந்தியாவில் ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தில் சிட்டிவல்சா என்ற ஊரில் சகோ.K.A.PAUL (Kilari Anand Paul) என்ற வாலிபன் தன் 19வது வயதில் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை சொந்த இரட்சகராக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு நல்ல சாட்சியாக வாழ்ந்தான். ஆனால் வரம் பெற்ற ஊழியன் என்று பெயர் பெற்ற ஒரு பாஸ்டருடன் சேர்ந்து பல இடங்களுக்கு சென்று ஊழியத்தில் உதவியாக இருந்தான். அந்த ஊழியர் உண்மையான ஊழியர் அல்லாததால் அவர் செய்த ஊழியத்திலும், ஜீவியத்திலும் பல தவறுகளை கவனித்தான். என்றாலும் பிசாசுகள் ஓடின, அற்புதங்கள் அந்த பாஸ்டர் மூலமாக நடந்ததை கண்டான். அப்போதே அவரை விட்டுவிலகியிருந்தால் தன் ஆத்துமாவை காப்பாற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்திருப்பான். இவன் உள்ளத்தில் விபரீத ஆசை உருவானது. தான் சுகமளிக்கும் வரம் பெற்ற பிரபல ஊழியனாக மாறவேண்டும் என்று விரும்பினான். இந்த தவறான எண்ணம் உருவான உடனேயே பிசாசுக்கு மிகவும் சந்தோஷம் ஏற்பட்டது. கஷ்டப்படாமல் தன் வலையில் ஒரு மீன் வந்துவிழுந்ததைபோல் எண்ணிக்கொண்டான். இந்த வாலிபன் உள்ளத்தில் ஊழியத்தை குறித்து விபரீத எண்ணம் உருவாக ஆரம்பித்தவுடன்ஆவியானவர் அவனைவிட்டு கொஞ்ச கொஞ்சமாக விலகினார். பிசாசின் ஆவி கொஞ்சகொஞ்சமாக இவன் உள்ளத்தில் நுழைந்து பின் முழு இருதயத்தையும் ஆக்கிரமித்துக் கொண்டான். இவன் ஊழியத்தில் சின்னசின்ன அற்புதங்கள் ஏற்கனவே நடந்ததை பிசாசின் ஆவி இன்று K.A.PAUL என்ற வாலிபன்மூலம் பெரிய அளவில் பொய்யான அற்புதங்களை மக்களுக்குமுன் காட்டி அவனை மக்களுக்குமுன் பெரிய அளவில் உயர்த்திவிட்டான். பெரும் கூட்டங்கள் கூடியது. கூட்டம் என்று சொன்னால் லட்சக்கணக்கில் கூடியது. இந்தியாவில் பால் ஆசீர் லாரி, சகோ.D.G.S.தினகரன் இவர்கள் யாவருக்கும் கூடாத கூட்டம்K.A.PAULக்கு கூடியதுதான் ஆச்சரியம். பிரசங்கத்தில் சரக்கு ஒன்றும் இல்லை. ஆனால் இவருக்கு கூடும் கூட்டத்தின் எண்ணிக்கையை பார்த்து உலக கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் வியந்தார்கள். பணம் கோடிகளாககுவிந்தது. வெளிநாட்டு ஸ்தாபனங்கள் இவருடைய சமூக சேவைக்கு கோடிகள் கொடுக்க போட்டியிட்டன. அமெரிக்காவில் ஜனாதிபதி ஜார்ஜ் புஷ், ஒபாமா இவர்களை முன்அறிவிப்பு இல்லாமலே விரும்பியபோது நேரில் சந்திக்க முடிந்தது என்றால் எத்தனையாய் வெளிநாட்டில் பிரபலமானார் என்பதை யூகிக்கலாம். இந்தியாவில் எந்த இடத்தில் K.A.PAULலின் கூட்டம் நடந்தாலும் சொந்த ஹெலிகாப்டரில்தான் போய் வருவார். நம் இந்தியாவில் உள்ள அற்புத ஊழியர்கள் யாரும்ஹெலிகாப்டரில் கன்வென்ஷனுக்கு வந்ததாக கூறமுடியுமா? K.A.பால் மட்டும் ஹெலிகாப்டரை கார்போல உபயோகித்தார். இது மட்டுமல்ல, நம்நாட்டில் எந்த ஊழியனுக்கும் ஏன் அரசியல்வாதியான மந்திரிக்கும்கூட சொந்தமாக விமானம் இருந்ததில்லை. ஆனால் இந்த K.A.பாலுக்கு சொந்தமாக விமானம்இருந்தது. இங்குள்ள படத்தில் நீங்கள் அதை காணலாம். மக்கள் காணிக்கை பணத்தை இந்த அற்புத ஊழியர் ராஜாவைப்போல அனுபவித்தார். சகோ.K.A.பால்க்கு காங்கிரஸ் தலைவி திருமதி.சோனியா காந்தி மேல் மிகுந்த மரியாதை இருந்தது. அவருடைய விசிறியாக அளவுக்கு அதிகமாக மரியாதை வைத்ததால் அவருக்கு உதவி செய்யும் வகையில் ரசிகர் சங்கம் போல் பிரஜா சாந்தி என்ற பெயரில் அரசியல் கட்சி தொடங்கினார். கிறிஸ்துவை உயர்த்தி காண்பிக்க அழைப்பை பெற்றவர், நம் தமிழ்நாட்டு ஸ்டார் ஊழியர்கள் அரசியல்வாதிகளை மேடையில் உட்கார வைத்து ஷோ காண்பிப்பார்களே அந்த வழியை இவரும் பின்பற்றினார்.

கிறிஸ்துவின் ஊழியர் – கொலைகாரனாக மாறினார்:

K.A.பாலை (பால்) போலீசார் கைது செய்து அழைத்துச் செல்லும் படம் அரசியலும், கிறிஸ்தவ ஊழியமும் கலந்துவிட்டால் ஊழலும், ஆசையும் வந்துவிடும். உண்மையாகவும், பரிசுத்தமாகவும் இருக்கமுடியாது. பல அரசியல் தலைவர்களோடும், மந்திரிகளோடும் நெருக்கம் அதிகரித்தது. தேர்தலுக்கும் அரசியல் கூட்டங்களுக்கும் அன்பளிப்பு பெயரில் கோடிகள் இங்கும் அங்கும் கை மாறின. இந்த போக்கு நீண்டுபோனால் அரசியல் விளையாட்டில் பணம் எப்படி மொத்தமாக வந்ததோ அதேபோல் மொத்தமாக பணம் கைவிட்டுபோய் பிச்சைக்காரர்களாக மாறினவர்கள் ஏராளம். இதைக்கூடவே எல்லா தவறுகளுக்கும், பாவங்களுக்கும், பணம் கையாடல்களுக்கும் தன் வலது கைப்போல கூடவே ஒத்துழைத்து உதவியாக இருந்த கூட பிறந்த சகோதரன் டேவிட் என்பவர் K.A.பால் நடவடிக்கையை மத்திய அரசாங்கம் C.B.I, மாநில அரசாங்கம், வருமான வரி ஆகியோர் கவனிக்க ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டனர் என்பதையும் K.A.பால் வழி தவறான பாதையில் பயணிக்கிறது என்பதை டேவிட் உணர்ந்தவுடன் சொத்தை பிரித்து கொடுத்துவிட்டால் தான் தனியாக பிரிந்து வாழ விரும்புவதாக கூறினார். அவ்வளவுதான் சொத்தில் பங்குகேட்டு பிரித்துகொடுத்தால் தன் ரகசிய வாழ்க்கையையும், தன் அரசியல் விளையாட்டு ரகசியத்தையும் அறிந்த ஒரே ஆள் தன் சொந்த சகோதரன் டேவிட் ஒருவர்தான். ஆகவே அவரை தீர்த்துகட்டிவிட்டால் ரகசியம் புதைந்துவிடும் என்று சகோதரனை கொலைசெய்ய K.A.பால் திட்டம் தீட்டினார். கூலிக்கு கொலை செய்யும் (கேரளாவில் கொட்டேஷன் என்பார்கள்) கொலை ஸ்தாபனம் இன்று ஒவ்வொரு மாநிலத்திலும் பெரிய அரசாங்க ஸ்தாபனம்போல் நடத்துகிறார்கள். ஆந்திராவில் K.A.பால்வசிக்கும் மாவட்டத்தில் கோதேஸ்வர ராவ் என்பவன் தலைமையில் பெரிய பணத்துக்கு கொலை செய்யும் கூலிப்படை இயங்குகிறது. K.A.பால் கோதேஸ்வர ராவ்வை இரகசிய இடத்தில் வரவழைத்து தன் சகோதரன் டேவிட்டை போட்டுதள்ள பேரம்பேசி முடித்தான். பல லட்சங்கள் கைமாறின. ஒரு சில தினங்களுக்குள் டேவிட் கொலை செய்யப்பட்டார். அதோடு பிரச்சனை முடிந்துவிட்டதாக K.A.பால் பெருமூச்சு விட்டார்.

இரண்டாவது கொலை

சில மாதத்திலேயே புதிய பிரச்சனை உருவானது. டேவிட்டை கொலை செய்த கூலி படை தலைவன்கோதேஸ்வர ராவ் K.A.பால்-ஐ பிளாக்மெயில் செய்து டேவிட்டை கொலை செய்ததை தினசரி பேப்பருக்கும் போலீஸ்சுக்கும் தெரிவித்துவிடுவேன் என்று பயமுறுத்தி பலமுறை, பல லட்சங்களைK.A.பாலிடம் வாங்கியவாறே இருந்தான். கொலைகாரன் எல்லை மீறிபோய் தனக்கு தீராத தலைவலியாக இருக்கிறான். தன் நிம்மதியை கெடுக்கிறான். ஆகவே இந்த கொலைகாரனை கூலிபடை தலைவனானகோதேஸ்வர ராவையும் இரகசியமாய் கொலை செய்ய வழி தேடினான். இம்முறை கூலி படை உதவியை நாடாமல் தந்திரமாய் போலீஸை கொண்டே என்கவுன்டர் என்று சினிமாவில் கேள்விபடுவாமே அந்தமுறையில் கொலை செய்துவிட தன் அபார மூளையை உபயோகித்தான்.மிகப்பெரிய உலக பிரசித்தப்பெற்ற சுகமளிக்கும் ஊழியம் செய்பவன், ஒரு பொய்யை மறைக்க மற்றொரு பொய் – ஒரு கொலையை மறைக்க – மற்றொரு கொலை.இப்படியாக தன் கிறிஸ்த ஊழியத்தின் மத்தியில், பல கொலைகளை செய்யும் திட்டங்கள் மனதில் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது K.A.பால் ஜெபம் செய்தால், ஜனங்கள் விழுகிறார்கள், பிசாசுகள் ஓடுகின்றன, வியாதிகள் சுகமானது என்று மேடையேறி சாட்சி கூறும் கூட்டத்தின் காட்சிகளும், சினிமா காட்சிப்போல் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றன.K.A.பாலுக்கு போலீஸ் வட்டாரத்தில் தனி மரியாதை உண்டு. பெரிய பெரிய உயர்போலீஸ் அதிகாரிகள் பலர் அடிக்கடி K.A.பால் வீட்டுக்கு விருந்திலும், களி ஆட்டத்திலும் பங்குகொண்டுK.A.பாலும் மிக நெருங்கிய நண்பர்களானார்கள். அந்த நட்பை கொலை செய்ய பயன்படுத்த திட்டமிட்டான். போலீஸ்துறையின் மாநிலத்திலேயே மிக உயர்ந்த தலைமை பதவியில் உள்ள அதிகாரியிடம் தனக்கு பிளாக்மெயில் செய்து தொல்லை கொடுக்கும் கோதேஸ்வர ராவை தப்பி ஓடும்போது சுடப்பட்டு மரித்தான் என்று பேப்பரில் வாசிப்போமே, அதுபோல் என்கவுன்டரில் சுட்டு தன்னை இந்த பிரச்சனையிலிருந்து விடுவிக்க பல கோடிகளை கொலைக்கு விலையாக பேரம் பேசினான். அந்த உயர் அதிகாரியும் பேசிய அந்த கோடிகளை கொண்டுவந்து கொடுக்கும் இடம், நேரம், நாள் இவைகள் தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டது. இவைகளை குறிப்பிட்டு வீடியோக்களை இரகசியமாக அமைத்து பல போலீஸ்களை யூனிபார்ம் இல்லாமல் வர ஏற்பாடு செய்து கையும் களவுமாக சகல ஆதாரத்துடனும் பணத்தோடு பிடித்து கைது செய்தார்.அதற்குமுன் அந்த கோடி எதற்காக கொடுக்கப்படுகிறது என்பதை K.A.பால் வாயால் பேசவைத்து பணத்தொகை எத்தனை பெட்டியில் உண்டு என்பதையும் K.A.பால் வாயாலேயே வரவழைத்து அத்தனையம் வீடியோவில் பதிய வைத்து சாட்சியுடன் போலீஸ் வலையில் அகப்படவைத்தார் அந்த உயர் போலீஸ் அதிகாரி. இந்த செய்தியை ஆந்திராவில் துப்பறியும் செய்தியைப்போல பல பெந்தேகோஸ்தே சபை பாஸ்டர்களும், CSI பாஸ்டர்களும் கதைகதையாக பேசிக்கொள்கிறார்கள். முதலில் இன்டர்நெட்டில் K.A.பால் பிடிபடுவதை பேரம் பேசுவதை, கைது செய்யப்படுவதை காட்டினார்கள். அதன்பின் ராஜ் டிவியில் அப்படியே சினிமாபோல பேசும் பேசுவது, பணம் ஒப்படைப்பது போலீஸ் வந்து கைது செய்து ஜீப்பில் ஏற்றுவது அத்தனையும் காட்டப்பட்டது என்பதை அறியும்போது இனி போலீஸ் விசாரணையில் K.A.பால் இன்னும் எத்தனை கொலைகள் செய்தான் என்பதும் வெளிவரும்போது கிறிஸ்தவ உலகம் மகா பெரிய அதிர்ச்சிக்குள்ளாகும். மட்டுமல்ல, பெரிய தலைக்குனிவும் உண்டாகும். கோடிகள் ரூபாய்க்கு மயங்காத அந்த உயர் போலீஸ் அதிகாரியை பாராட்டுகிறேன். K.A.பால்என்ற இவ்வளவு பிரசித்தி பெற்ற ஊழியரை தமிழ்நாடு, கேரளா கிறிஸ்தவ மக்கள் அதிகம் அறியவில்லை. ஆனால் ஆந்திரா, கர்நாடகா, ஒரிசா மற்றும் வடமாநில கிறிஸ்தவர்களிடையே இவர் மிக பிரசித்தமானவர். தமிழ்நாட்டிலும் சில பெரிய ஸ்டார் ஊழியர்கள், சுகமளிக்கும், தீர்க்கதரிசனம் கூறும், பொய்யாய் ஜெபத்தில் பெயர்களை கூறும் கோடீஸ்வர ஊழியர்களின் இரகசியங்களும், இரகசிய கொலைகளும் கொஞ்ச கொஞ்சமாக கசிய தொடங்கியுள்ளன. இவர்களெல்லாம் எப்போது அகப்படபோகிறார்களோ?. இதை வாசிக்கும் வாசகர்கள் பலர் கூற கேட்டிருக்கிறேன். பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் கிரியை இல்லாமல் இவருக்கு இவ்வளவு கூட்டம் கூடுமா? இத்தனை பேர் மேடையேறி சாட்சி சொல்வார்களா? சாட்சி கூறியவர்களின் புகைப்படம் பத்திரிக்கையில் கண்டோமே! என்றார்கள். K.A.பால் கூட்டம் இந்தியாவில் யாருக்கும் வராத கூட்டம் கூடியதே! பல மாநில முதல்வர்கள் மந்திரிகள், MPமார்கள் தலைமையில் நடந்ததே! சொந்த சகோதரனை சொத்து பிரிக்க சொன்ன ஒரே காரணத்துக்காக கொலை செய்த இரத்தம் படிந்த கையுடன்தானே இவர் கூட்டத்தில் ஜெபம் செய்தார்!, பலர் சுகம் ஆனார்கள்!, பலருடைய பெயர்களை கூறினார், பிசாசுகள் ஓடின!. எந்த புற்றில் எந்த பாம்பு இருக்கிறதோ! ஒருநாள் கண்டிப்பாக வெளிவரும். வெளியே வந்தே தீரும். இப்படிப்பட்ட போலி ஊழியர்களைக்குறித்து பரிசுத்த வேதம் நமக்கு விளக்கமாக எழுதியுள்ளது. எனவே போலி ஊழியர்கள் குறிப்பாக சுகமளிக்கும் கூட்டங்கள் நடத்தும் ஊழியர்கள் விஷயத்தில் ஜாக்கிரதையாக இருப்போம். இவர்களுக்காக, இவர் மூலமாக தேவ நாமம் தூஷிக்கப்பட்டுவிடகூடாது என்று ஜெபிப்போமா? கடைசி காலத்தில் இது எல்லாம் நடக்கும். ஜெபிப்போம்.

Two former employees of the world’s largest Christian television channel Trinity Broadcasting Network are accusing the non-profit of spending $50 million of its funding on extravagant personal expenses.

Among purchases, the network founded by Televangelists Paul and Jan Crouch, is accused of misappropriating its ‘charitable assets’ toward a $50 million jet, 13 mansions and a $100,000-mobile home for Mrs Crouch’s dogs.

Their granddaughter, Brittany Koper, 26, recently filed her allegations in court after a brief appointment as the network’s chief finance director in July.

She claims she was fired in September after discovering the ‘illegal financial schemes’ according to the lawsuit obtained by the Los Angeles Times, and consequently reporting them to Mr Crouch.

Her lawsuit follows a second by another former employee and Koper in-law, Joseph McVeigh, the uncle of Mrs Koper’s husband, Michael Koper, who detailed the opulent spending by the Christian network.

According to Mr McVeigh’s accounts filed in his lawsuit, the network used their collections for side-by-side mansions in Florida, as well as in Texas, Tennessee and California.

The network’s $50 million luxury jet was purchased through a sham loan while Mrs Crouch’s personal jet, a Hawker, totalled $8 million, according to his suit.

The suit also accuses the network of using funds to cover up sex scandals according to the Times’ review of the suit.

In a reverse lawsuit filed by debt-collection company Redemption Strategies last year, the Kopers have been accused of forging documents to obtain items such as several vehicles, jewelry, a boat, motorcycle, and life insurance. The debt collection company was registered with the state by a TBN attorney one day before it filed suit against Mr Koper.

They accuse Mr McVeigh of also receiving thousands of dollars from the non-profit without their authorization.

That lawsuit against Mr McVeigh and Mr Koper was later dropped by the court, but not before Mrs Koper and two in-laws were added as defendants.

Mrs Koper countersued, alleging that TBN’s attorneys formed Redemption Strategies to retaliate against her for whistleblowing.

Her suit doesn’t list TBN as a defendant, but it alleges that Mrs Koper was fired and made to turn over her house, condominium, life insurance policy, car, furniture and jewelry as ‘an act of Christian contrition’ when she complained about the financial misdeeds at TBN.

In the similar suit filed by Mr McVeigh, he alleges that TBN attorneys also targeted him as part of a campaign of retaliation for his reporting of their lavish spending.

TBN attorney Colby May called the McVeigh’s lawsuit a ‘tabloid filing’ and said the allegations in both cases were ‘utterly and completely contrived.’ TBN suspects McVeigh, who claims he received a $65,000 loan from the family empire, was working with the Kopers to steal money from the ministry, Mr May said.

The network’s spending is in line with its mission to spread the gospel throughout the world, Mr May said, and the Crouches travel by private jet because they have had ‘scores of death threats, more than the president of the United States.’

The ministry keeps large amounts of cash in reserve because incurring debt goes against the Biblical exhortation to ‘owe no man any thing,’ he said.

‘The answer is, there is no fire there,’ Mr May said. ‘They pay as they go and every now and then one of the things that they pay as they go on is the acquisition of a broadcast facility and that’s a multi-million dollar transaction.’

The outbreak of legal skirmish offers a rare window into the secretive world of the sprawling religious non-profit and exposes a family feud that could draw more outside scrutiny of TBN. Attorneys from both sides say they have contacted police and the Internal Revenue Service.

Growth: The network, whose headquarters is pictured, is seen on every continent but Antarctica 24 hours a day, seven days a week, raking in $92 million in donations in 2010 and $175 million in tax-free revenue

The Crouches founded TBN in 1973 and grew it into an international Christian empire that beams prosperity gospel programming — which promises that if the faithful sacrifice for their belief, God will reward them with material wealth — to every continent but Antarctica 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

It has 78 satellites and more than 18,000 television and cable affiliates and owns seven other networks, as well as its headquarters in Costa Mesa in Orange County, an estate outside Nashville called Trinity Music City, USA and the Holy Land Experience, a Christian amusement park in Orlando.

On any given day — or night — viewers from the United States to India can watch Christian-inspired news updates, documentaries, movies, talk shows and sermons by preachers such as Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes and Dr. Creflo Dollar without leaving their armchairs.

The lawsuit attention comes at a bad time for TBN, which has seen viewer donations drop steeply.
TBN raked in $92 million in donations in 2010 and cleared $175 million in tax-free revenue, but its net income plummeted from nearly $60 million in 2006 to a loss of $18 million in 2010, the most recent year available. Donations fell by nearly $30 million in the same period — a hit the network blames on the bad economy.

At the same time, Mrs Koper’s father — the eldest Crouch son — resigned abruptly as vice president and chief-of-staff late last year. The unexplained departure of Paul Crouch Jr. roughly coincided with his daughter’s legal battle and came just months after he launched iTBN, a project to expand the network’s online and mobile reach.

TBN places a premium on privacy and it’s almost impossible to divine what is going on behind the scenes. Yet televangelist empires built largely on charisma often encounter choppy waters as their founding personalities age.

‘It’s true that in these large ministries, they do become family enterprises … and in many ways that can be a most precarious problem for them,’ said David E. Harrell, a professor emeritus of American religion at Auburn University, who has written about well-known televangelists. ‘Business squabbles, if they’re complicated with family squabbles, can get nasty indeed.’

Mr May dismissed the idea of family turmoil and said the reason behind the legal fight was simple: Mrs Koper and her husband stole from the network.

‘They’re attempting to create a diversion and to create as much public spectacle as they can in the vain hope that this will all get resolved and that’s simply not going to happen,’ he said.
TBN’s reach and programming are expansive, but what is more impressive is the amount of money it receives from viewers — even in a downturn.

During TBN’s Praise-A-Thon earlier this month, a preacher exhorted viewers to bellow ‘Fear not!’ three times, count down from 10 and then rush to the phone with donations. In exchange, he said, they would receive a miracle from God ‘about this time tomorrow.’ Within seconds, all 200 phone lines were busy.

Ministry watchdogs have long questioned how TBN — which declared more than $800 million in net assets in 2010 — spends that wealth.

TBN files reports with the IRS, but the Crouches run nearly two dozen other organizations that are harder to track and they operate extensively overseas, said Rusty Leonard, who founded Wall Watchers, an organization that monitors the financial transparency of church ministries to which its members donate.

Wall Watchers gives TBN an ‘F’ for financial transparency and keeps them on its list of the 30 worst ministries.

‘They could run a loss like the one they ran last year for an awfully long time before they would run out of money,’ Mr Leonard said. ‘They’re basically taking money from old people and putting it in their pocket and living the high life.’

TBN is no stranger to outside scrutiny.

In 1998, the elder Crouch secretly paid an accuser $425,000 to keep quiet about allegations of a homosexual encounter. Crouch Sr. has consistently denied the allegations, which were first reported by the Los Angeles Times, and has said he settled only to avoid a costly and embarrassing trial.

In 2000, after a five-year battle, a federal appeals court overturned a ruling by the FCC that found Mr Crouch had created a ‘sham’ minority company to get around limits on the number of TV stations he could own.

With their termination from the network, both Mr MacLeod and Mrs Koper plan to file a wrongful-termination suit according to the Times.

Accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old Chicago girl, the Rev. Sleeva Raju Policetti fled Illinois nearly a decade ago to his native India, where the Roman Catholic archbishop of Hyderabad soon issued an order barring him from ministry.

In 2008, after a canonical trial, the Vatican took the rare and severe step of defrocking Policetti over the allegations, meaning he is no longer a priest.

But civil justice never caught up to the fugitive ex-priest, whose lawyers in India have fought efforts to extradite him to Chicago to face 20 felony counts of criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

And now it’s apparently too late.

In recent days, Policetti’s case took a dramatic turn when an attorney for Policetti’s alleged victim indicated to Cook County prosecutors that she was no longer willing to pursue charges — a decision that would effectively force prosecutors to dismiss the case and abandon the years-long extradition effort.

Prosecutors are now trying to set up a face-to-face meeting with the alleged victim, said Sally Daly, spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. “Proving up this case would very much involve us having the victim willing to participate in the prosecution,” Daly said. “Obviously, things have changed; she’s an adult now. We respect the wishes of the victim, same as you. At the end of the day, that’s what matters most.”

The potential end to Policetti’s prosecution offers yet another example of how an opaque and slow-moving international extradition system can derail justice, leaving suspects accused of murder, rape and crimes against children free when they find haven in foreign countries.

Policetti’s alleged victim initially worked with authorities, setting in motion an international extradition that required the approval of top officials from the U.S. State and Justice departments and India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

But years into the grinding legal process, her attorney said, she wants to put the matter behind her. Her contact with the state’s attorney came after the woman and her attorney learned the Tribune was preparing an article about Policetti.

Similar years-long delays have undermined other international fugitive manhunts, the Tribune found in an examination of more than 100 cases from the Chicago area and thousands of others nationwide. In some instances, witnesses died or disappeared, making the cases impossible to prosecute.

Policetti is one of at least 32 Roman Catholic priests nationwide since 1985 who have absconded to foreign countries while facing criminal charges or investigations for allegedly sexually assaulting or abusing youths in the United States, according to a Tribune review of federal warrants, news reports and law enforcement sources. Only five have been returned to the U.S. to face trial.

More than two dozen other Catholic clergy went abroad while facing internal church inquiries or civil allegations of child sex misconduct, or were transferred to foreign countries by church authorities, the Tribune found.

Confidential ecclesiastic records on Policetti’s case, which broke in 2002, provide a rare glimpse into the actions of top officials of the Catholic Church regarding an accused priest just as the Vatican was becoming engulfed in a burgeoning scandal over pedophile priests around the world.

Though reporters found that an initial two-day delay by the church in reporting the child sex assault allegation may have given Policetti time to plan his escape from Chicago, records also show that top church officials here and in India pressed hard for Policetti’s return and expressed fury at his alleged crimes and his continued ability to evade justice.

Told of the recent developments in the case, Chicago Archdiocese legal services director John O’Malley said, “From the outset, the archdiocese has supported and cooperated with the state’s efforts to bring this case to a just resolution. The archdiocese and those of us involved in dealing with these tragic matters would never presume to make a judgment about the feelings of someone who has been sexually abused.”

The archdiocese reached an out-of-court settlement with Policetti’s alleged victim, a person with knowledge of the case confirmed. The church declined to disclose any details out of respect for the alleged victim’s privacy. The alleged victim declined to comment for this article.

Her attorney, who spoke on condition that he not be identified, said the Chicago Tribune account of the case was “inaccurate and irresponsible,” although he would not identify specific errors.

St. Tarcissus, the vibrant Northwest Side parish where Policetti had worked, saw a sharp drop in attendance and donations when the assault allegations first made news.

“The lives of a lot of parishioners were turned upside down,” said the retired Rev. Daniel McCarthy, who was pastor when Policetti fled. “People were hurt and disillusioned and betrayed.”

Prosecutors say Policetti was 42 and the girl had just turned 16 when the alleged assaults began. Policetti gave the girl jewelry and other gifts “to further his abusive sexual relationship with her,” according to a Cook County prosecutor’s court affidavit made public in New Delhi. The alleged victim “felt that she could not refuse the advances of Fr. Policetti because he was a priest.”

In the court records and a brief interview earlier this year in India, Policetti proclaimed his innocence and said he is the victim of a racist conspiracy.

“Because of the allegations and case against me, I lost my permanent job at the church in Hyderabad and get only temporary jobs, sometimes on weekends,” Policetti said from his lawyer’s chamber in the stately Patiala House Courts Complex in New Delhi.

Despite being barred from public ministry, then defrocked, Policetti has continued to use the title of “Reverend.” As recently as 2010, he sent Chicago parishioners greeting cards soliciting donations, saying he ran an orphanage and school near Hyderabad.

Priests sometimes call him to fill in at church functions, Policetti said in the interview.

“Gradually people have … forgotten the case, but the sense of frustration about what has happened with me has yet not left me,” Policetti said. “It is only God’s blessings and the strength my family and lawyers have given that have kept me going.”

Like many other international fugitives traced by the Tribune, priests accused of sexual misconduct often returned to their hometowns and did little to conceal their identities or whereabouts, the newspaper found. Until the pedophile-priests scandal erupted a decade ago, many of them were given church housing and jobs after fleeing, and that still occurs in some cases.

Another priest who fled to his native India, the Rev. Joseph Jeyapaul, left the U.S. in 2005 just before he was charged in Minnesota with sexually assaulting 14-year-old Megan Peterson after she sought his advice about becoming a nun. Jeyapaul asserted his innocence and continued to work as a priest in India, where he was prohibited from direct contact with children.

Peterson, who is now 22, told the Tribune that authorities have advised her that Jeyapaul’s extradition from India “could probably take 10 years, or maybe it won’t even happen.”

It has been difficult to carry on with her life with the case unresolved, Peterson added, but she is determined to bring Jeyapaul to trial because she fears he could abuse others.

“To see a predator still on the loose, to have used every resource you’ve got to get him back and to know they’re just untouchable — that feeling is gut-wrenching,” Peterson said.

A stocky and energetic associate pastor known at St. Tarcissus for his thundering homilies and attention to the sick, “Father Raju” Policetti came to Chicago in 1996 as an “extern” priest who would serve in America but remain accountable to church authorities in his home diocese in Hyderabad.

During the time of the alleged abuse, which started in 2001, a church secretary noticed Policetti with the girl in his private rectory bedroom “on numerous occasions with the door closed,” according to a Chicago police detective’s affidavit. The secretary “counseled Sleeva that this was considered inappropriate behavior, but he dismissed her warning,” the detective wrote.

During this period, Policetti applied to remain in Chicago as a priest of the Chicago diocese. Chicago rejected his application early in 2002 because he had come under church investigation for allegedly improperly raising donations to support an orphanage and school in India, church records and interviews show. Church authorities questioned where the money was going.

On a Saturday morning in May 2002, two months before Policetti’s scheduled July 14 departure, a parish member brought then-pastor McCarthy letters exchanged between Policetti’s alleged victim and another girl that disclosed the priest’s alleged misconduct, according to court records and interviews.

A stunned McCarthy immediately conveyed the letters to the Rev. Larry McBrady, then the Chicago vicar for priests. At some point over the weekend, McBrady spoke with Kathleen Leggdas, who headed the archdiocese office that investigated abuse allegations against priests.

Church officials say they kept their communications completely private. “I didn’t want to scare him off,” McCarthy recalled.

Archdiocese policy required prompt reporting of child abuse allegations to the state Department of Children and Family Services hotline. Records show Leggdas’ call came around noon Monday, May 6, just over two days after the letters surfaced.

During that 50-hour window, Policetti sold his car for $3,500, telling the buyer “he was ill and had to return to India,” according to a Chicago police detective’s court affidavit.

Policetti caught a flight out of the U.S. on Tuesday, about two hours before police scrambled to O’Hare International Airport to catch him. Church authorities would not comment directly on the delay.

Police quickly contacted Policetti’s brother, the Rev. Prasad Rao Policetti, who was then posted at nearby St. Monica Parish. But Prasad was “deceitful and evasive,” telling police that his brother flew to Amsterdam even though he knew Sleeva Policetti was headed to India, the detective’s court affidavit states.

Prasad Policetti would not answer police questions about the brothers’ various bank accounts. And he phoned a St. Tarcissus secretary and urged her to persuade the alleged victim to “change her story” and say she and Sleeva Policetti were “just kissing,” according to the affidavit.

The Tribune’s efforts to locate Prasad Policetti, who left Chicago for Hyderabad four days after his brother, were unsuccessful.

After Sleeva Policetti arrived in India, he called the Chicago detective and admitted “kissing and touching” the “young girl” but denied sexual relations, according to court records.

Sleeva Policetti said “he was uncertain about when he would return to Chicago,” Detective Richard Lapinski wrote in a court affidavit. “He stated he could be contacted at the Bishop’s House in Hyderabad and provided a phone number.”

Cardinal Francis George had immediately alerted then-Hyderabad Archbishop Marampudi Joji about the allegations against Policetti. “Father Policetti must meet with the police,” the cardinal wrote in a faxed letter. “Given the grave nature of this criminal allegation, I ask that … you direct him to return to Chicago immediately.”

When Policetti arrived in Hyderabad at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 9, he went straight to Joji’s house and strenuously maintained his innocence, church records show.

Four days later, George faxed Joji another letter warning him that Policetti had raised “considerable sums of money” by telling parishioners “he was opening a school in Hyderabad. He may suddenly disappear again and use such monies, including $30,000 in a Bank of South India account, for his personal support.”

Joji faxed George an “urgent” reply saying he had persuaded Policetti to return to Chicago. Policetti wrote separately to assure George he was heading back to Chicago “at the earliest” to “tell you my version of what had happened.”

More than a week passed. When Joji finally summoned Policetti, his brother Prasad appeared instead and told Joji “definitively” that Sleeva Policetti “will not be returning to Chicago,” church records show.

Joji then took the most drastic step in his power. He notified Sleeva Policetti in a letter that he was barred “from officiating or participating in public or private as a priest,” citing his “deceptive claims of innocence.”

Yet roughly a year later, Policetti wrote to a St. Tarcissus parishioner and encouraged her to support a child she had sponsored through him at an orphanage. As he would do in extradition court filings and fundraising appeals over the following years, Policetti described himself as a priest in good standing: “Regarding my ministry, I will be posted soon in the parish … as a pastor,” he wrote.

Chicago archdiocese officials sent a copy of that fundraising appeal to Joji, asking in alarm whether Policetti was indeed about to be posted as a pastor.

A month later, in May 2003, India police arrested Policetti outside Hyderabad.

As India began the process of extraditing him to the U.S. to face trial, Policetti was held in judicial custody for about two weeks, then released on bail, court records show. He has been free since then.

பெங்களூர்: பெங்களூரில் உரிய உரிமம் இன்றி நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆசிரமத்தில் இருந்து 22 பெண் குழந்தைகள் உள்பட 41 குழந்தைகள் மீட்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

கர்நாடக மாநிலம் பெங்களூர் சல்கட்டாவில் உள்ளது சர்ச் ஆப் கிரைஸ்ட் என்னும் ஆசிரமம். அங்கு 22 பெண் குழந்தைகள் உள்பட 41 குழந்தைகள் இருந்தனர். அந்த ஆசிரமத்தை அமெரிக்கர் வில்லியம் என்பவரும் அவரது மகன் ஜான் சார்லஸும் நடத்தி வந்தனர். அவர்கள் அமெரிக்காவில் இருந்து நன்கொடை பெற்று ஆசிரமத்தை நடத்தி வந்தனர்.

அவர்கள் அங்குள்ள குழந்தைகளை அடித்து துன்புறுத்தி வந்துள்ளனர். இதில் சார்லஸ் பெண் குழந்தைகளிடம் அடிக்கடி சில்மிஷம் செய்து வந்துள்ளார். கொடுமை தாங்க முடியாத ஒரு குழந்தை இது குறித்து போலீசுக்கு தகவல் கொடுத்தது. இதையடுத்து நேற்று நள்ளரவில் அந்த ஆசிரமத்தில் போலீசார் திடீர் சோதனை நடத்தி 41 குழந்தைகளையும் மீட்டனர்.

குழந்தைகள் ஆசிரமத்தில் சேர்ந்ததற்கான ஆவணங்கள் எதுவுமே அங்கு இல்லை. மீட்கப்பட்ட குழந்தைகளில் பலரது உடலில் காயம் இருந்தது. குழந்தைகளை அடிக்க பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட பிரம்பை போலீசார் கைப்பற்றினர். மேலும் ஆசிரமத்திற்கு சீல் வைத்தனர்.

வில்லியமும், சார்லஸும் பல நிறுவனங்கள், நபர்கள் என்று பலரிடம் நன்கொடை பெற்றுள்ளனர் என்றும், அதை தங்களுக்காக செலவு செய்ததில்லை என்றும் குழந்தைகள் தெரிவித்தனர்.

காரைக்கால்:காரைக்காலில் தனியார் கல்லூரி முதல்வர், திருமணம் செய்வதாக ஆசை வார்த்தை கூறி கற்பழித்துவிட்டதாக பெண் அளித்த புகாரின்பேரில் போலீசார் வழக்குப்பதிந்து கல்லூரி முதல்வரை தேடி வருகின்றனர்.மதுரை சுப்ரமணியபுரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த சாலமன் தேவதாஸ்,45. நாகப்பட்டினத்தில் உள்ள தனியார் கல்லூரியில் முதல்வராக பணியாற்றி வருகிறார். மனைவியுடன் விவாகரத்து பெற்ற இவர் தனது 16 வயது மகளுடன் காரைக்கால் எம்.எம்.ஜி.நகர் விரிவு 8 வது குறுக்கு தெருவில் வசித்து வருகிறார். தூத்துக்குடியைச் சேர்ந்த ஏஞ்சலின் ஜெசினா,35. ஸ்ட்காட்லாந்தில் பட்டம் பெற்றுள்ளார். குடும்ப பிரச்னை காரணமாக விவாகரத்து பெற்றுள்ளார்.

இவருக்கு 11 வயதில் மகன் உள்ளார்.இருவரும் சுற்றுலா சென்றபோது, பொள்ளாச்சியில் சந்தித்துள்ளனர். இருவரும் விவாகரத்து பெற்றுள்ளதால் திருமணம் செய்து இணைந்து வாழ முடிவு செய்தனர். 2011ம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் நாகப்பட்டினத்தில் தான் வேலை செய்யும் தமது கல்லூரிலே வேலை வாங்கி தருவாக கூறி ஏஞ்சலின் ஜெசினாவை காரைக்காலுக்கு அழைத்து வந்து தனது வீட்டிலே தங்க வைத்துள்ளார். கடந்த 2 அரை மாதங்களாக இருவரும் கணவன் மனைவியாக வாழ்ந்து வந்துள்ளனர்.

சாலமன் தேவதாசின் மெயில், போனில் பல பெண்களுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்வது குறித்து ஏஞ்சலின் கேட்டபோது, இருவருக்கும் தகராறு நடந்துள்ளது. இதனிடையே ஏஞ்சலினிடம் இருந்து 25 ஆயிரம் பணம் வாங்கியுள்ளார். மேலும், தான் வாங்கவுள்ள புதிய காருக்கு 2 லட்சம் பணம் கேட்போது சாலமனுக்கும், ஏஞ்சலினுக்கும் மேலும் தகராறு வலுத்தது. இருவரும் மாறி மாறி மகளிர் போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் புகார் அளித்தனர்.
போலீசார் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தி இருவரையும் சாமாதானப்படுத்தினர். அப்போது, சாலமன், ஏஞ்சலினுக்கு விவகாரத்து கிடைத்தால் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதாகவும் எழுதி கொடுத்துள்ளார். இந்நிலையில் கடந்த 18ம் தேதி ஏஞ்சலின் தந்தையை நாகப்பட்டினம் பஸ் நிலையத்திற்கு வழியனுப்பி விட்டு திரும்பும் போது, காரில் இருந்து இறங்கிய சாலமன் மாயமானர். பல இடங்களில் தேடியும் கிடைக்கவில்லை.

ஏஞ்சலின் மகளிர் போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில், சாலமன் தன்னை திருமணம் செய்வதாக ஆசை வார்த்தை கூறி ஏமாற்றி கற்பழித்துவிட்டதாக புகார் அளித்தார். அதன்பேரில் சப்இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் (பொறுப்பு) லோகநாதன் வழக்குப் பதிந்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகிறார். மேலும், ஏஞ்சலினுக்கு நேற்று காரைக்கால் அரசு மருத்துவமனையில் மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை செய்யப்பட்டது.

புதுச்சேரி : நள்ளிரவில் கல்லூரி மாணவியுடன் தனிமையில் இருந்த பாதிரியாரை கண்டித்து இந்து முன்னணியினரும், பல்வேறு அமைப்பினரும் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டதால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது.
புதுச்சேரி, குருசுக்குப்பத்தில், 152 ஆண்டுகள் பழமை வாய்ந்த புனித பிரான்சிஸ் அசிசிஸ் தேவாலயம் உள்ளது. இங்கு திண்டிவனத்தை சேர்ந்த பெர்க்மான்ஸ் பீட்டர்; 45, பாதிரியாராக உள்ளார். நேற்று முன்தினம் நள்ளிரவு 12 மணியளவில், கல்லூரி மாணவியுடன் பாதிரியார் தனிமையில் இருந்தாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
இதனையறிந்த அப்பகுதி மக்கள் ஆலயம் எதிரே திரண்டதால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. முத்தியால்பேட்டை போலீசார் விசாரணை நடத்தினர். பாதிரியார் பெர்க்மான்ஸ், பேராயர் இல்லத்திற்கு நள்ளிரவில் அழைத்து செல்லப்பட்டார். இதற்கிடையில், மக்கள் எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்ததையடுத்து ஆலயத்தில் நேற்று காலை திருப்பலி நடக்கவில்லை.

இந்நிலையில், கல்லூரி மாணவியிடம் தகாத முறையில் நடந்து கொண்ட பாதிரியாரை கைது செய்ய வேண்டும், அவரை மருத்துவ பரிசோதனைக்கு உட்படுத்த வேண்டும், திருச்சபையில் இருந்து நீக்கம் செய்ய வேண்டும் என, வலியுறுத்தி இந்து முன்னணியினர், முத்தியால்பேட்டை போலீஸ் ஸ்டேஷன் எதிரில் குவிந்தனர்.
தலைவர் சனில்குமார், பொதுச் செயலாளர் முருகையன் ஆகியோர் தலைமையில் இந்து முன்னணியினர் போலீஸ் ஸ்டேஷனை முற்றுகையிட்டனர். அவர்களை இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் அங்கப்பன், சப்-இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் கிருஷ்ணன் மற்றும் போலீசார் சமாதனப்படுத்தினர்.

மிஷன் வீதியில் உள்ள பேராயர் இல்லம் முன், நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி, சட்டக் கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள், இந்திய ஜனநாயக வாலிபர் சங்க நிர்வாகிகள் மறியலில் ஈடுபட்டனர். அவர்களை போலீசார் கைது செய்து அப்புறப்படுத்தினர்.
சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக சீனியர் எஸ்.பி.,சந்திரன், எஸ்.பி., மோனிகா பரத்வாஜ் விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டனர். அப்போது பாதிரியார் மீதான குற்றத்தை கல்லூரி மாணவி மறுத்தார்.
இதுகுறித்து சீனியர் எஸ்.பி., சந்திரன் கூறுகையில், “தேவலாயத்தில் நள்ளிரவு 12 மணியளவில் தனிமையில் இருந்த பாதிரியார் மற்றும் இளம்பெண்ணிடம் விசாரணை நடத்தப்பட்டது. அப்பெண் புதுச்சேரியில் உள்ள தனியார் கல்லூரியில் எம்.சி. ஏ., படித்து வருகிறார். அந்தப் பெண்ணிற்கு பாதிரியார் தான் பாதுகாவலராக உள்ளார்.
ஹாஸ்டலில் கணிப்பொறி வசதி இல்லாததால் எம்.சி.ஏ., புராஜக்ட் விஷயமாக பிரிண்ட் எடுக்க சர்ச் பாதர் வீட்டிற்கு வந்துள்ளார். இருவரும் தவறு ஏதும் செய்யவில்லை என எங்கள் விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. இதுதொடர்பாக மாஜிஸ்திரேட் விசாரணைக்கு உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது” என்றார்.

Bangalore: The head master of premier school inBangalorehas been arrested for child abuse, this has happened on the account of complaint logged by the parents of the child.

This is the same school which was in the news for asking students to add their teach her on facebook.

Paul Meekin said, “We don’t want to intentionally interfere with their lives but the point is they are children and they tend to make mistakes and while we won’t be monitoring what they’re saying 24/7, we do want to keep track of what they are doing online.”

B Dayananda, Joint Commissioner,BangaloreEast, said, “Police complain have been registered against the principal. He was arrested and sent to judicial custody.”

In fact, in a written statement the school said. “The management will not tolerate any such issues even if it is a mere allegation and would not spare any effort to get to the bottom of the truth and to ensure to uphold the high standards maintained by the institution.”

Thereafter, a police investigation was initiated and we have extended full cooperation to the police authorities,” it said.

CHENNAI: A special team from the Union home ministry is in Kudankulam to probe fund transactions of six NGOs operating in the region and believed to be working “against” the nuclear power project, top sources told TOI.

“Two NGOs run by Tuticorin Archbishop Evan Ambrose received Rs 54 crore in recent months from foreign countries, including the US. We have directed them to submit proper documents. The documents submitted by them were not adequate. So we have sent a special team for a thorough investigation. This is the third round of probe,” a senior officer in the home ministry said.

An NGO, said to be run by M Pushparayan, organiser of the agitation against the nuclear project, also got funds from other countries, home ministry sources said. The ministry had directed these NGOs to submit documents under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. The ministry, sources said, was not fully satisfied with the documents submitted by them. “If the ministry is not satisfied with the documents, these NGOs would face stringent action,” said Union minister of state in the Prime Minister’s Office M Narayanasamy.

The Centre has alleged that foreign funds are being used to fuel the anti-nuclear protests in the Kudankulam. The special team has been in Kudankulam for more than three days and is said to have verified the documents submitted by the NGOs. “The special team was careful not to involve in anyone from the local units. The investigation will conclude on Tuesday. The team will submit reports to the home ministry soon,” the source said.

Dismissing the allegations, Tuticorin Archbishop Evan Ambrose told TOI, “We have been submitting audit reports to the home ministry every year. The special team has sought some clarifications and we are co-operating with them. There is nothing to hide.” Pushparayan alleged that Centre was trying to spread the news that foreign funds are being diverted to keep the protests going. “The home ministry has sent a notice to our NGO last month and we have submitted all the documents they sought. They seemed satisfied with the particulars,” he said.

ஆந்திராவில் கடவுள் வந்து அழைப்பதாக கூறிய பெண்ணை சிலுவையில் அறைந்த கணவன், சகோதரனை போலீசார் கைது செய்தனர். சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட பெண்ணை உடனடியாக மருத்துமனைக்கு சிகிச்சைக்காக அனுப்பிவைத்தனர்.ஆந்திர மாநிலம் குண்டூர் மாவட்டம் குஞ்சான்பள்ளி கிராமத்தை சேர்ந்தவர் வெங்காயம்மா (35). அவரது கணவர் பிரான்சிஸ். சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு இவர்கள் கிறிஸ்தவ மதத்திற்கு மாறினார்கள். அதன்பிறகு வெங்காயம்மா தனது பெயரை தேவகுமாரி என்று மாற்றிக்கொண்டார். கடந்த சில மாதங்களாகவே தனது கனவில் அடிக்கடி ஏசு கிறிஸ்து வருவதாக தேவகுமாரி தனது உறவினர்களிடம் கூறி வந்தார். இதையறிந்த அப்பகுதி மக்கள் அவரிடம் திரண்டு சென்று ஜெபம் செய்து ஆசி பெற்று வந்தனர்.

சிலுவையில் அறைய வேண்டும்

இந்நிலையில் சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு தேவகுமாரி கணவர் மற்றும் சகோதரர்கள் சந்திரசேகர், ரமேஷ் ஆகியோரிடம், ‘ஏசு கிறிஸ்து தனது கனவில் தோன்றி மகளே நீ என்னிடம் வர விரும்பினால், உன்னை உயிருடன் சிலுவையில் அறைய ஒப்புக்கொடுக்க வேண்டும்’ என்று கூறினார் என்று தெரிவித்தார். இதை கேட்டதும் அவரது குடும்பத்தினர் அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்தனர். தேவகுமாரியின் உறவினர்கள் வேண்டாம் இந்த விபரீதம் என்று கூறி தடுத்தனர். ஆனாலும் தேவகுமாரி சிலுவையில் அறைய வேண்டும் என்று தொடர்ந்து பிடிவாதம் பிடித்ததால் கணவர்- சகோதரர்கள் ஒன்றாகச் சேர்ந்து தேவகுமாரியை வெள்ளிக்கிழமை அன்று ஏசு கிறிஸ்து போல் சிலுவையில் அறைய திட்டமிட்டனர்.

தேவகுமாரி சிலுவையில் அறையப்படும் சம்பவம் சுற்றுப் பகுதி கிராமங்களுக்கு காட்டுத் தீ போல் பரவியது. ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோர் குஞ்சான பள்ளி கிராமத்தில் திரண்டனர். தேவகுமாரி ஏசு கிறிஸ்து போல் வெள்ளை உடை, சிகப்பு சால்வை சகிதம் வந்தார். சிறிது நேரம் சிலுவை முன்பு நின்று பைபிள் வசனங்களை வாசித்து அங்கு திரண்டிருந்த மக்களிடம் போதனை செய்தார்.

ரத்தம் கொட்டியது

இதனையடுத்து தேவகுமாரியை கணவரும் சகோதரர்கள் சிலுவையின் மீது படுக்க வைத்து இடது கையில் ஆணி அறைந்தனர். அப்போது ரத்தம் மளமளவென கொட்டியது. அப்போதும் அவர் அசரவில்லை. வேதனையால் துடிக்கவில்லை. அமைதியாக இருந்தார். பின்னர் அவரது இரு கைகளையும் கயிற்றால் கட்டி சிலுவையை தூக்கி நிறுத்தினர். ஏசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு அணிவிக்கப்பட்டது போல் தேவகுமாரிக்கும் முள் கிரீடம் தலையில் சூட்டப்பட்டது. சிலர் தங்களது செல்போன்களில் இதை ஆர்வமாக படம் பிடித்தனர்.

கணவன், சகோதரர்கள் கைது

தகவல் அறிந்ததும் தாடே பள்ளி சப்- இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் கோடீஸ்வரராவ் மற்றும் போலீசார் அங்கு விரைந்து சென்றனர். பின்னர் அவர்கள் சிலுவையில் ஆணி அடிக்கப்பட்டு தொங்கவிடப்பட்டிருந்த தேவகுமாரியை கீழே இறக்கி அங்குள்ள தனியார் ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் சிகிச்சைக்காக சேர்த்தனர். சிலுவையில் அறைந்த பிரான்சிஸ், சந்திரசேகர், ரமேஷ் ஆகியோரை போலீசார் கைது செய்தனர்.

மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப் Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos ஹோமோ செக்ஸில் பிடிப்பட்டார்.

மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப் பாவ செயலில் பிடிபட்டார் நரி பரலோகம் சென்றாலும் கோழி பிடிப்பதை நிறுத்துமா?

“பெண்ணோடு பாலுறவு பண்ணுகிறதுபோல, ஆணோடு பாலுறவு பண்ண வேண்டாம். அது அருவருப்பானது உன் தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காதே, நான் கர்த்தர்”. லேவி 18:21,22. Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப்மார்களில் ஒருவரான Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos அவர்கள் ஹோமோ செக்ஸில் (ஆணுடன்-ஆண்) ஈடுபடும்போது கையும் களவுமாக பிடிப்பட்டார். ஏராளமான சிறுவர், பெரிய ஆள் இப்படி பலருடன் பாவத்தொடர்பு கொள்வது ஆரம்பம் முதலே குருவானவராக சபையில் ஊழியம் செய்தபோதே இந்த பழக்கம் உண்டு என்று பலர் கூறுகிறார்கள். அதை பிஷப் பதவி வகித்த பின்னும் அவரால் விடமுடியவில்லை என்றும் கூறுகிறார்கள். மார்தோமா சபையை சார்ந்த அலுவலகத்தில் பணியாற்றும்Mr.Samkutty, வயது 38, கேரளாவிலுள்ள பத்தினம்திட்டா மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள Ranny என்ற ஊரைச் சேர்ந்தவர். மூணாறு என்ற மலைநகரிலுள்ள மார்தோமா Retreat Centreல் மேனேஜராக பணியாற்றியவர். இவர் இந்த பிஷப் பலமுறை கோட்டயத்திலுள்ள பிஷப்.Euyakim அவர்கள் தன் வீட்டிலும், ஆரன்முலா என்ற இடத்திலுள்ள Retreat Centre-லும் தன்னை பலமுறை அவரோடு ஆண் புணர்ச்சி பாவம் செய்ய தன்னை பிஷப் அவர்கள் உபயோகித்தார் என்றும் கூறியுள்ளார். தன் மேல்அதிகாரியான இந்த பிஷப்பின் டார்ச்சர் தாங்கமுடியாமல் இவரைப்பற்றி தலைமை பிஷப்பிடம் பலமுறை புகார் செய்தேன் என்றும் இவர் கூறியுள்ளார். இந்த பிஷப் தன்னை மட்டுமல்லாமல் வேறு பலரையும் தினசரி தன் பாவத்துக்காக அழைத்து உபயோகித்துக்கொண்டதை பலர் அறிந்துள்ளனர். அவர் பிஷப் பதவி வகிப்பதால் அவர்மீது மார்தோமா சபைகளின் தலைமை எந்த நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்கவில்லை என்றும் இவர் கூறியதாக அறியப்படுகிறது. ஒரு கட்டத்தில் பிஷப் அவர்களின் பாவகாரியத்துக்காக இட்ட கட்டளைக்கு தான் சம்மதிக்காததால் உண்டான கோபத்தினால் பிஷப் அவர்கள் என்னை வேலையைவிட்டும் நீக்கினார் என்றும் கூறுகிறார். 2009ம் வருடம்முதல் என்னை பாவக்காரியத்துக்கு உபயோகித்ததைக்குறித்து தலைமை பிஷப்புக்கு அறிவித்தும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்காததை அறிந்து, வேறு பல ஆண்கள் இந்த பாவத்தில் இவர் மூலமாக விழுந்துப்போவதை உணர்ந்துதான் நான் போலீஸில் புகார் செய்தேன் என்று கூறுகிறார். ஆனால் போலீஸ்; என் புகாரை எடுக்கதயங்கினார்கள். ஆகவே வேறு வழியில்லாமல் நான் நீதிமன்றம் சென்று முறையிட்டேன். மேலும் பலநபர்கள் போலீஸ்சில் இதேபோன்ற புகார் பிஷப்மீது கூறியதால் இப்போதுகேரளா நீதிமன்றமே தலையிட்டு விசாரணைநடத்தி அறிக்கை சமர்பிக்க போலீஸுக்கு கட்டளையிட்டது. இப்போது நீதிமன்றத்தில் விசாரணை நடைபெற்றுக்கொண்டிருகிறது. பாதிக்கப்பட்ட நபர்களின், சாட்சிகள் ஏராளமாக இருப்பதால் விசாரணை முடிய நீண்ட நாட்களானது. ஏறக்குறைய விசாரணை இப்போது முடியும் தருவாயில் இருக்கிறது. பிஷப்மேல் குற்றம் Cr Pc 377 (Engaging in Unnatural Sex) என்ற தலைப்பின்கீழ் FIR பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த குற்றச்சாட்டு நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டால் பிஷப் அவர்களுக்கு 10 ஆண்டு சிறைதண்டனை நிச்சயம். இந்த விஷயத்தில் பிஷப்மேல் குற்றம் சுமத்திய நபரான Mr.Samkutty பலமுறை இந்த பாவத்துக்கு இவரே உடந்தையாக இருந்திருக்கிறார் என்பதும் விளங்குகிறது. தன்னை வேலையைவிட்டு நீக்கிய பிறகுதான் இந்த பாவ குற்றச்சாட்டை பிஷப்மேல் இவர் அறிவித்திருக்கிறார். இப்போது இவர் செய்த பாவத்தை இவர் நியாயப்படுத்த முயலுகிறார் என்பது விளங்குகிறது. ஆகவே இவரும் தண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டியவரே! இப்போது பிஷப்Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos அவர்களை நீண்டநாள் விடுமுறையில் போகச்சொல்லி மார்தோமா சபை தலைமை கட்டளையிட்டுள்ளதாக அறியப்படுகிறது. Most Rt.Rev.Chrysostum Rt.Rev.Dr.Irenaeus மார்தோமா தலைமை தன்னை இந்த வழக்கிலிருந்து காப்பாற்றாமல் போனாலோ அல்லது தன்னை தண்டித்தாலோ மார்தோமா தலைமை பிஷப் Most Rt.Rev.Philipose Mar Chrysostom, Rt.Rev.Dr.Joseph Mar Irenaeus ஆகியவர்கள் கடந்த காலங்களில் செய்த பாவங்களையும், அந்த பாவங்களில் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்களையும் பகிரங்கப்படுத்துவேன் என்று பயமுறுத்துவதாக மார்தோமா சபை குருவானவர்கள் பேசிக்கொள்வதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. ஏற்கனவே Rt.Rev.Dr.ஐரேனியஸ்பிஷப் அவர்கள்மேல் சிறு பெண்பிள்ளைகளுடனும், குருமார்களின் மனைவியுடனும் பல இடங்களில் இவர் நடத்திய பாவ சம்பவங்களைக்குறித்து மார்தோமா சபை மக்கள் மூலமாக கேள்விப்பட்டதையும், மார்தோமா சபை முக்கிய தலைவர்கள் சிலரிடம் பிஷப்பால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்பங்கள் புகார் அறிவித்ததையும்,அதைக் குறித்த விவரங்களையும் நான் ஜாமக்காரனில் வெளியிட்டிருந்தேன். அதன் காரணமாக மார்தோமா சபைகளில் நான் பிரசங்கிக்கக்கூடாது என்று தலைமை அறிவித்து, என்மீது மானநஷ்ட வழக்கு தொடுக்க ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்தார்கள். அப்படி என்னை கோர்ட்டுக்கு அவர்கள் அழைத்தால் எனக்காக வக்கீல் யாரையும் நியமிக்காமல் நானே சாட்சிகளோடு சென்று வழக்கை சந்திப்பேன் என்று நான் அறிவித்தேன். மார்தோமா சபையில் பல விசுவாசிகள் குறிப்பாக(Gulf) அரேபியாவில் வேலை செய்யும் மார்தோமா சபை குடும்பங்கள், மார்தோமா சபை குருமார்களின் மனைவிமார்கள் எனக்கு உதவியாக சாட்சி சொல்ல தயார் என்று எனக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள். குறிப்பாக டிசம்பர்மாதங்களில் தங்களை அழைத்தால் சாட்சி சொல்ல இந்தியா வருவதாக தொலைப்பேசியில் என்னுடன் பேசி என்னை ஊக்கப்படுத்தினார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு நன்றி. மார்தோமா சபைகளில் டாக்டர்களின் ஐக்கியத்திலுள்ள சிலர் என் சார்பில் மார்தோமா சபை தலைமையிடம் வாதாடினார்கள் என்று கேள்விப்பட்டேன். அதனால் என்மேல் தொடுக்க இருந்த மானநஷ்ட வழக்கு கைவிடப்பட்டது என்பதையும் அறிந்தேன்.   மார்தோமா சபையிலுள்ள வாலிபர் பலர் சேர்ந்து பாவம் செய்த அந்த குறிப்பிட்ட பிஷப் பெயரில் அவரைப்பற்றி ஒரு துண்டுப்பிரதி அச்சடித்து கேரளாவில் கோழஞ்சேரி தலைமை சபையில் வெளியிட்டனர். அந்த துண்டுப்பிரதியின் தலைப்பு நரி பரலோகம் சென்றாலும் கோழி பிடிப்பதை நிறுத்துமா? என்பதாகும். இந்த துண்டுப்பிரதி மார்தோமா வாலிபர்களே தங்கள் பிஷப்புக்கு எதிராக வெளியிட்டதால் மார்தோமா சபைகளில் பெரிய தாக்கம் ஏற்பட்டது. அந்த துண்டுபிரதியை அப்படியே ஜாமக்காரனில் நானும் வெளியிட்டேன். பாவத்தில் பிடிக்கப்படும் எந்த பிஷப்மார்களுக்கும் தண்டனை கொடுத்ததாக மார்தோமா சபை சரித்திரத்தில் இல்லை. ஆகவே மார்தோமா சபையில், சில குருமார்களும், மார்தோமா சபையில் சில டாக்டர்களும், சபையிலுள்ள சில முக்கிய தலைவர்களும் என்னிடம் பேசி இந்த விவகாரத்தை ஜாமக்காரனில் மேலும் எழுதாமல் தயவுசெய்து இத்துடன் நிறுத்தி உதவுங்கள். பிஷப்மாரை சபை மண்டலம் (சினாட்) இதுவரை தண்டித்ததில்லை என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள். மார்தோமா சபையிலுள்ள என் வாசகர்களுக்காக, வாசகர்கள் தெரிவித்த செய்தியை அன்று ஜாமக்காரனில் வெளியிட்டேன். அறிவித்தேன் என் வேலை முடிந்தது. அதன்பின் இப்போது சோதோம் கொமாராவின் பாவத்தை செய்ததாக கூறப்படும் பிஷப் அவர்கள் சபையில் பலரை கெடுத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்ற புதிய பாவசெய்தியும், புதிய பிரச்சனையும் வேதனையுள்ள செய்தியாக கடந்த சில வருடங்களாகவே பலர் எனக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள். மார்தோமாசபை தலைமை இந்த பிஷப்புக்கு எதிராகவும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கவில்லை! சிறுவர்கள், ஆண்கள் பிஷப் அவர்களால் மேலும் கெட்டுவிடக்கூடாது என்ற எண்ணத்தில் இப்போது இதை அறிவித்தேன். பிஷப் அவர்களின் இந்த பாவப்பிரச்சனையை நீதிமன்றமேபொறுப்பெடுத்துக்கொண்டதால் இவைகளைக்குறித்து எனக்கு கிடைத்த தகவலை விவரித்து இப்போது நான் எழுதக்கூடாது! மேலும் சூர்யா டிவியில் கடந்த மாதம் பிஷப் அவர்களின் புகைப்படத்தோடு நான் மேலே எழுதிய பாவசெய்தியையும், பாவத்தையும் பலமுறை போட்டுக்காட்டினார்கள். இ-மெயில் மூலம் மார்தோமாசபை மக்களே பலருக்கு இந்த செய்தியை இப்போது அறிவித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆகவே நான் என் அபிப்ராயம் எதையும் கூற விரும்பவில்லை.   மார்தோமா பிஷப் Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilosயைப்பற்றி எனக்கு எழுதியவர்களில் மார்தோமா சபையின் Trustyயும் ஒருவர் ஆவார். அவர் மிக மனப்பாரத்துடன் பிஷப் அவர்களின் பாவத்தைக்குறித்து எனக்கு கடிதம் எழுதியிருந்தார். அதில் அவர் அந்த குறிப்பிட்ட பிஷப் அவர்களை மார்தோமா சபை தெரிந்தெடுக்கும்போது அவர் குடும்பத்தைப்பற்றிய பின்னணியைப்பற்றி சபையின் தலைமை சரியாக விசாரிக்கவில்லை என்றும், பிஷப் அவர்களின் குடும்பத்தில் பலர் குடிகாரர்களாக இருந்தார்கள் என்றும், பிஷப் அவர்களின் தாயாரின் சகோதரன் ஒருவர் இந்துமத சன்யாசியாக மாறிவிட்டார் என்றும், அதனால்தான் பிஷப் வாழ்க்கையும் இப்படியானது என்ற அர்த்ததில் எனக்கு கடிதம் எழுதியுள்ளார். ஆனால் இவருடைய இந்த குறிப்பிட்ட கருத்தில் எனக்கு ஒப்புதல் இல்லை.   ஒரு குடும்பத்தில் உள்ளவர்களின் நிலை அல்லது ஜாதிபுத்தி என்று கூறும் குற்றச்சாட்டு விஞ்ஞான பூர்வமாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கூடியதல்ல. ஜாதியோ, குடும்பமோ ஒருவனுடைய சுபாவத்தை நிர்ணியிக்காது. ஒருவன் எந்த குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தாலும், எந்த ஜாதியில் பிறந்தாலும் வேதவசனப்படிமனந்திரும்புதலின் அனுபவத்தில் வளர்ந்தால் இயேசுவின் இரத்தம் ஒருவனை கழுவினால் அவன் முற்றிலும் புது சிருஷ்டியாகிறான். அதுமட்டுமல்ல, பழையவை யாவும் ஒழிந்துப்போகிறது என்று நம் வேதம் போதிக்கிறது. அதில் பழைய பாவம் இயற்கை சுபாவம் ஆகிய எல்லாம் அடங்கும். ஆகவே மார்தோமா சபை பிஷப் தெரிந்தெடுப்பு பிரசித்திப்பெற்ற குடும்பம் (தரவாடு) உயர்ந்த குடும்பம் என்ற அடிப்படையில் இருப்பது சரியல்ல. இந்த பிஷப் Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos அவர்களும் குற்றஞ்சாட்டப்பட்ட தலைமை பிஷப் அவர்களும், அடுத்த உதவி தலைமை பிஷப்பானமெத்ராப்போலித்தா என்று அழைக்கப்படுபவர்களும் மிக உயர்ந்த குடும்பத்திலிருந்துதான் (தரவாட்டில்)தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள்மேல் அந்த காலத்திலிருந்தே கூறப்பட்ட பல தவறான தொடர்புகளைக்குறித்தும், அடுத்த உதவி தலைமை பிஷப் அவர்களைக்குறித்து கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்ட பாவசெயல்கள் யாவும் எல்லா மனுஷருக்குள்ளும் உண்டாகும் காம விகாரமும், சரீர பாவமுமாகும். இந்த பெரிய பிஷப்மார்களும் மனுஷர்களே, மனுஷனில் காணப்படும் எல்லா உணர்ச்சிகளும் இவர்களுக்கும் உண்டு. பாவ உணர்ச்சிகள் உண்டாவதில் உயர்ந்த குடும்பம் – தாழ்ந்த குடும்பம் என்ற பாகுபாடு இதில் இல்லை. ஆனால் இவர்கள் பாவத்தை அறிக்கையிட்டு மனந்திரும்பின அனுபவத்தின் அடிப்படையில் ஊழியத்தில் இறங்கியிருந்தால் இந்த கெட்ட பெயர்கள் உண்டாக வழியில்லை! ஆகவே முதலில் மார்தோமாவில் பிஷப் அவர்களை தெரிந்தெடுப்பில் மிக உயர்ந்த குடும்பத்திலிருந்து தெரிந்தெடுக்கும் நிலைமாறவேண்டும்! இயேசுகிறிஸ்து தன் சீஷர்களாக தெரிந்தெடுத்தவர்கள் யாவரும் உயர்ந்த ஜாதிக்காரர்கள் அல்ல! அவர்கள் யாவரும் படிப்பறிவில்லாதவர்கள், வெறும் மீன் பிடிப்பவர்கள். இதை மார்தோமா மண்டலத்தில் (சினாட்) உள்ளவர்களும், குருமார்களும் புரிந்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.   கடந்த சில மாதங்களுக்குமுன் 2011 மார்ச் மாதம் மார்தோமா சபைகளுக்கு மேலும் 3 பிஷப்புகளை தெரிந்தெடுக்க திருவல்லாவில் மண்டலம் (சினாட்) கூடியது. முதல் இரண்டு குருமார்கள் எதிர்ப்பு ஏதும் இல்லாமல் தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டனர். முதலில் ஆயரான Rev.K.V.Varki அவர்களின் பெயரை பிஷப் தெரிந்தெடுப்பில் அறிவித்து இவர்மேல் ஏதாவது குற்றசாட்டுகள் உண்டா? இவரை தெரிந்தெடுக்க கூடாதபடி எதிர்ப்பு கூறுபவர்கள் உண்டா? என்று சினாட்டில் பகிரங்க அறிவிப்பு உண்டானது. உடனே 13 பேர்கள் அந்த ஆயருக்கு எதிராக புகார் அறிவித்தார்கள். நியாயப்படி பிஷப்மார்களும், மண்டலத்தில் (சினாட்டில்) உள்ளவர்களும் அந்த குற்றச்சாட்டை விசாரிக்கவேண்டும் அல்லது அந்த ஆயரை பிஷப்பாக தெரிந்தெடுக்காமல் இருந்திருக்கவேண்டும். ஆனால் 13 பேர்கள் கூறிய எல்லா புகார்களையும் அலட்சியப்படுத்திவிட்டு அதை பொருட்ப்படுத்தாமல் அந்த குறிப்பிட்ட ஆயரே இப்போது புது பிஷப்பாக தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார் என்று சினாட்டில் பிஷப்மார் அறிவித்தது என்ன நியாயம்? ஜனநாயம் இங்கு செத்துப்போனது! Sodomy charge against Kerala bishop 24 July 2011 THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, 24 JULY: A Kerala Marthoma Bishop, who is alleged to have sodomised a former diocese employee, is facing a police probe. On a petition filed by the victim Samkutty, 38, a native of Ranni in Pathanamthitta district, Magistrate Bilkul of the Pathanamthitta Judicial Magistrate Court- 1 has directed Aranmula Police to investigate into the complaint. Mr Samkutty, a former operational manager at the retreat centre in Munnar run by the Kottayam-Kochi diocese of the Marthoma Church, said in the petition that Bishop Dr. Eueyakkim Mar Kurlose, who heads the diocese, had sexually abused him in 2009 at the centre, the Aranmula retreat house and the Kottayam Bishop House. As he resisted the Bishop’s misdemeanour, Mr Samkutty’s probation had been extended and he was finally sacked from the job in 2010, he said in the complaint. “I had to frequently meet him for the direction to run the retreat house where things were in a total mess. And I was just on probation. Taking advantage of this, he has misbehaved with me.’’ Mr Samkutty had formally filed a complaint with Joseph Mar Metropolitan, the head of the Marthoma Church, a highly influential Christian sect in Kerala, seeking stringent action against the bishop. In the complaint, he had said that the bishop had abused several people earlier also. For the past one year, discussions were held at various levels in the church, but no action was taken against the bishop, on the contrary he has been elevated to higher positions. During this period, the church had assured Mr Samkutty that his grievance would be redressed and should not take the legal course. Having realized, he said in the complaint to the court, that he would get no justice from the church authorities, he decided to move court against the bishop. The court has directed police to register the case under CrPC 377 (engaging in unnatural sex) and if the charge is proved, he will get a jail term for 10 years. Mr Zakkeer Husain, counsel of the victim, fears that the investigation will take more time than usual because of the long list of witnesses. Only after recording their statements, police can file a charge-sheet in the court. (CBS) Should nuns take birth control pills? A controversial new commentary published Thursday suggests nuns who take birth control will significantly cut their risk of getting cancer.

Why nuns? Nuns are nulliparous, meaning they don’t have children. Women who don’t have children undergo more menstrual cycles than women who have kids, because they don’t get pregnant or breastfeed. More cycles mean more cancer risk, according to the study authors.

The authors said the nearly 95,000 nuns worldwide “pay a terrible price for their chastity,” because they face a greater risk for breast, ovarian, and uterine cancers.

“If the Catholic Church could make the oral contraceptive pill freely available to all its nuns, it would reduce the risk of those accursed pests, cancer of the ovary and uterus, and give nuns’ plight the recognition it deserves,” study authors Dr. Kara Britt of Monash University and Professor Roger Short of the University of Melbourne in Australia, said in a written statement.

For the study, published in the Dec. 8 issue of The Lancet, researchers reviewed birth control studies, and found women who take the pill have a 12 percent lower overall death rate than women who don’t. They also found risk of developing ovarian and endometrial cancers fell by up to 60 percent in pill users compared with women who have never taken it. The cancer protection lasted for 20 years, suggesting a clear long-term benefit of taking the pill, the authors said.

The pill isn’t totally risk-free. The authors said it can increase risk of blood clots for some women, so past medical histories must be considered before a its prescribed.

The Catholic church condemned all forms of contraception in 1968 under Pope Paul VI’s Humanae Vitae, but the authors said nuns should be exempt because that same document states that “the Church in no way regards as unlawful therapeutic means considered necessary to cure organic diseases, even though they also have a contraceptive effect.”

Where did the study authors get the idea that the Catholic church controls nuns’ medical care? Sister Mary Ann Walsh of the U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops asks. She told ABC News that nuns have the same access to care that every woman has, which includes the pill.

“A nun goes to a doctor for her medical care, and if that medical care requires a certain kind of medicine then that medicine is prescribed,” Walsh told ABC News.

Her take? Suggesting that all nuns should take birth control pills is “rather sweeping and almost irresponsible.”

“There are risks with the pill just as there are risks with doing nothing with regard to uterine and ovarian cancer,” Walsh said. “A nun’s decision needs to be worked out between the nun and her doctor.”

வந்தனர். அவரை கடத்தியதாக 5 பேர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
மீட்கப்பட்ட கிருபாகரனிடம் விசாரித்தபோது, உறுப்பினர்களிடமிருந்து
