TEN US Christian missionaries have been charged with child abduction and conspiracy, almost a week after they were caught trying to smuggle 33 children out of quake-hit Haiti.

The Americans from an Idaho-based charity were formally charged with “kidnapping minors and criminal association,” said their lawyer Edwin Coq, after his hopes were dashed that all of the group except its leader would be freed.
The group of five men and five women, who have been held since late last Friday, should now be tried in Haiti, Justice Minister Paul Denis said, adding he saw “no reason” why they would be sent to the United States for trial.

One of the missionaries told AFP as she arrived at court that she and her co-defendants “are just trusting God for a positive outcome”.

They have denied any ill-intent, saying they only wanted to help those children left orphaned or abandoned by the January 12 quake that ravaged the Caribbean nation, leaving one million people homeless.

Why are baptist missionaries stealing children in Haiti?

It has been proven that some of the children have parents and are not orphans. What did they think they were doing trying to take children out of Haiti without documentation? Do you think they deserve to sit in jail for kidnapping?

They should face prosecution. Christians are used to taking children from their families for their own good. They did it in Russia, Australia, the United States, and now Haiti. That is the only way they can get the children programmed and then send them home to program their parents. Good little robots puking the Christian doctrine. Pat Robertson would approve, I’m sure.

They deserve to face the consequences of taking children out of another country illegally. As their crime is against Haitians on Haitian soil, their punishment should be administered by the Haitian government. I grant that they probably had good intentions. But intentions are a bad excuse for crime–especially crime which could have been avoided through talks with Haitian officials and a bit of fact-checking on the part of the church members.

t is absolutely laughable that these Baptist’s were so naive to think they could just go in and scoop up these children up regardless of their intent. I think they should sit in jail for some time to “think” about their actions. What would have happened if a group of Haitians came to New Orleans after Katrina and loaded up a bunch of kids to transport them elsewhere? Heck, what if they had picked up a bunch of the area pets? Do you think they would have been allowed? These people were completely delusional and sorry, they deserve to be made the example so this does not happen again. We, (the US) would have made an example out of anyone trying to do the same.

They are simpletons who believe the rules don’t apply to them because they are on a “Christian” mission.

You know what they say about “good intentions”…

How would this bunch have felt if a group of foreigners took children from New Orleans after Katrina hit and tried to take them out of the country without any authorization? Utter fools they be.

Whether their intentions were good or not, they were clearly arrogant in expecting that they could just round up some kids and take them out of the country. Even the people working with other relief organizations there said so. And they have the nerve to quote a bible verse saying that they are in jail for Jesus. What arrogance.

they are child traffickers before baptist missionaries….christian philosophy rotates about how to recruit more and more people
